Reforming West Virginia provides biblical, historical, and theological print and digital resources for West Virginia Christians.

Reforming West Virginia is run by Dennis Bills. Dennis is a Presbyterian minister and college educator in West Virginia. You can check out his church website here or his personal website here (including his CV). Dennis's hope is that fellow West Virginians will be encouraged to embrace and spread the Reformed Faith throughout this great State.

The current project that this page is raising funds for is the book Presbyterianism in West Virginia: A History.  The funds will subsidize research travels and review copies for marketing purposes. Dennis hopes to raise $2,800 for this project. He expects the book to be released in the second quarter of 2019. Patrons will only be charged by the project and will always be given the option to discontinue, continue, or change their support for the next announced project.

He has already published  A Church You Can See: Building a Case for Church Membership. You can receive a copy in return for your support. Higher tiers receive even more benefits which you can check out to the right.

Future projects include The Westminster Confession of Faith in Plain Language and Building a Case for Church Membership: Group Study Edition.

Still other projects are on the horizon and all patrons will be given the option to support them.
Tiers

Supporter
$25 or more per project

This level supports the publishing work of Reforming WV and receives as a thank you a digital and/or signed hardcopy of the latest book (or the book of your choice as our selection grows).

This level supports the publishing work of Reforming WV and receives as a thank you digital and/or signed hardcopies of both A Church You Can See and Presbyterianism in West Virginia (upon its release).

Researcher
$100 or more per project

This level is for those who have a more in-depth interest in Dennis's research and travel to the Presbyterian Historical Society in Philadelphia and throughout West Virginia. Researchers will receive frequent, fun, real-time video updates on my research in Philadelphia, including any fun sights and sounds, fascinating discoveries, and glimpses into real historical records from the 1800s. As a thank you, they will also receive digital and/or signed hardcopies of A Church you Can See and Presbyterianism in West Virginia (upon its release).

Adventurer
$500 or more per project

This level is for those who want to support Dennis's research and join the adventure themselves. Adventurers will receive all the benefits of the lower tiers but will also be afforded a significant discount  on the tour that will accompany the release of the book later in the year  (hopefully up to 50%, but this will depend on TBD factors).  The tour will begin in Charleston, and we will make our way to Lewisburg where we will stay at the General Lewis Inn.  Tour viability and cost (travel, accommodations, food) will depend upon number of participants. This tier can be refunded to a lower tier of choice if the tour fails to materialize through lack of participation.
