Milestone Goals
Print production
This would be used to pay for prints and photo art.
Photo editing software.
I would like to purchase Lightroom to install on my computer and I would like to subscribe to Photoshop.
Small equipment purchase
Immediate need is a purchase of tripod and remote shutter release/timer. This will then cover other small equipment needs as they come up.
High end photography equipment
This would be used for the purchase of new camera bodies and new lens for specialty photography.
Photo Safari
This fund would pay for the ultimate goal of traveling to distant places to take spectacular photos.
About
I am a woman who is happily enjoying her mid-life crisis.
After relocating from Oklahoma to Alaska, I have discovered a passion for photography by photographing nature scenes and wildlife in my beautiful new home. My job allows me to travel to the Pacific northwest, frequently. I have a son and daughter-in-law who are both teachers in Oklahoma.

Thank you for visiting my Patreon support page. Photography is my hobby, but I would like to develop it more as my passion grows. I also have done some writing. I have been published on Slate and am a Top Writer for 2013 on Quora. My focus is on adventure and triumph over the problems we all face. I plug in a lot of my life experience into what I write, from being a nurse for over 30 years, and surviving the battle with both thyroid and breast cancer 4 different times, to being the mother of a Sergeant in the United States Marines with two tours to Iraq, to following my dream by moving from Oklahoma to Alaska when I was 50 years old. Currently, I am a nurse who now programs the user interface that doctors and nurses use to input electronic medical record and photograph what I see in my adventures whenever time allows.
Photography is a very rewarding pastime and hobby. Unfortunately, good equipment doesn't come cheap. Lessons are also not given away. I'd like to use your patronage to enable me to purchase both equipment and lessons so that I can freely share the images and stories I capture. Much of my pleasure in now being able to explore new places such as Alaska, the Pacific northwest and Europe is in the act of sharing those scenes through photography and descriptive stories.
My most immediate goals are to take some photography lessons and to buy some new camera equipment and lens. I will also need photo editing software to do edit this work. Gas to get to these awesome places and food to keep my strength up during long winter nights trying to capture the Aurora would be nice, too. In the long term, I want to be able to keep my work free and still gain the skills of a practiced photographer while sharing my work with people who have a fondness for those same things. Please don't feel obligated though to give monetarily. I will continue snapping pictures whether you donate or not. My content may just might be a bit better and more frequent if you do. (My goal is awe inspiring.) Please don't donate anything if you're strapped for cash and certainly don't feel obliged to support my work in this way. Shares, promotes, pins, tweets and telling your friends can really help me reach new audiences, which is how independent artists like me make more money, anyway.
I am only able to do what I do because of you guys, so whatever support you can give will be much appreciated. Thanks, sincerely.

A Quick Patreon Explanation:
This is an amazing place for artists of any genre. It is the perfect venue for independents who want to create unencumbered. This is simply the best idea out there. Please consider giving me a dollar (or however you much you like) per submission that I upload. I will continue to bring you nothing but the absolute best pictures and stories. My goal is to release new content several times a month. If you're concerned about going over your budget, there's an easy way to set a monthly maximum for yourself when you're entering your payment info.Where your money goes:
Besides my projects, 20% of every month's pledges I get go back to other Patreon users who inspire me. I want to encourage others to break out of an existence and break into a life. I want to inspire people to find the beauty in their circumstances and to conquer the fears of uncertainty. My most immediate goals are to take some photography lessons and to buy some new camera equipment and lens.
