See how I have learned to use my mind for productive and helpful thoughts and what I do to I stop being my own worst enemy each day. Most of my life has been defined by me making it difficult half the time and then me trying to fix the difficulty the other half. I find life today is amazing because I work to do the most good each moment and stop making my own life hard. I try to love my thoughts like a loving parent loves their child when they do something right and when they do something wrong. This is so much different from what I used to do and I hope sharing it with you is helpful to seeing how you are treating yourself and seeing opportunities to live the amazing life you have been given today!

Jill Haldeman This is awesome, because with my current mental health situation it's been really hard to stop being stressed, and angry towards myself and others after issues. How to break bad habits and turn laziness into a good thing

Do you have trouble breaking bad habits such as drinking, smoking or gambling? Do you have trouble sticking to a diet? Do you have trouble going to the gym? The answer is to control your power points! Over the years I have struggled with sticking to diets, eating unhealthy, consuming too much alcohol, and gambling. Part of the reason I struggled to kick these bad habits was due to laziness, so I decided to make my laziness work for me! If you can control certain power points in your life, you can avoid bad habits all together. For example, if I really want to eat healthy I will avoid buying unhealthy snacks at the store. If I stay disciplined while shopping, laziness will kick in while at home and I will not go out of my way to obtain unhealthy food. If you can establish good habits, laziness will take over and work for you!

I spend time with my spouse whenever I can because if something were to happen to her or me I would not want to regret not having spent more time with her. How to find the sacred in every moment

Which moments in life do you hold as sacred? What gives you a sense of peace, gratitude and serenity? I treat every moment in my life as sacred. When I first lost my dad I struggled to understand why he was taken from me. I immediately turned to alcohol to numb the pain, and if I had continued down this path I would have destroyed myself. Instead, I opted to embrace his death as a sacred moment, and gave thinks that he was now in the Kingdom of Heaven. I now look at every moment in my life, good or bad, as a sacred moment and give thanks for the experience. Thank you for letting me share my thoughts with you and please share your feedback with me!

You are changing the world today!

You are changing the world today! What do you have in common with Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison? You are all part of a changing world. Society likes to give these innovative minds all the credit when it comes to changing the world, but what gets lost is all the people and circumstances that allowed them to have an impact. Without Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs might not have been such a prominent figure in our culture. Who is Steve Wozniak? This same principle holds true to everyone throughout history. No one person changes the world, everyone has their own impact. So, the next time you get down on yourself for not being able to have an impact, remember that you are a part of a changing world and everyone in the world plays an integral role in society. I want to thank you for taking the time to watch this, and as always I look forward to your feedback!

How to make the right decision now using the past and the future to help

How do you use the past and future to make decisions in the moment? Most of my life I made selfish, impulsive decisions. You could almost describe my behavior as childish. I made choices based only on what I wanted to do, and if I didn't get my way I would go into the situation with a negative attitude. Now when I make decisions, I try to imagine what my future self would have wanted to do. So now whenever I have a free moment, I choose to spend it with my family. When I am on my death bed I will not regret that I didn't play more video games or spent more time by myself, but I might regret not spending more time with my loved ones. Instead of focusing on not liking a particular activity, I tell myself that I am there to be with my family. I want to thank you for taking the time to watch this, and as always I appreciate your feedback!

Are you always in a hurry? Do you constantly find yourself in rush to get to work, school or appointments? Like most Americans, I always found myself in a hurry to get somewhere. Not only did this cause me to be stressed, but I found myself hurting others around me. Now I make an effort to get to my appointments early. This allows me to take my time driving, make great first impressions and most of all avoid the stress of being in a hurry. Even if I am going to be late getting somewhere, I will take a deep breath, appreciate the moment and take my time traveling. How having more is having less

Have you worked hard in your life to get more? Do you want a more expensive car, a bigger house, or more things to fill your house with? For most of my life I always wanted more money, possessions, and friends. The surprising thing is having more is having less. Having just what I need is perfect, and having more than I need is just as much of a burden as having less than what I need. I have a house full of things, and I feel the weight of things I don't use very acutely. How many times have you resisted the idea of giving or throwing something away? In the past I have resisted giving away things I did not use because it felt like I was getting rid of a part of me. I have worked hard in my life to accumulate everything I own, so it is hard to part ways with things even if I do not have a need for them. Today I gave away a mini fridge for free because the idea of keeping it filled with things was a burden on me. Do not let your possessions own you. Don't be afraid to part ways with things you do not use, because there is someone out there who might need it. I want to thank you for taking the time to watch this, and I appreciate your feedback!

Changing from great expectations to gratitude

Do you find yourself getting angry when the smallest things go wrong? Are you grateful when things work how they are supposed to? Yesterday I had a short internet outage and my first instinct was to get angry at my service provider. However, my service has also been the best in terms of speed and consistency since I started paying for high speed internet. I am thankful to live in a country where most things work how they are supposed to. Unfortunately, having such a high quality of living creates high expectations. So, today I ask you to be thankful when things perform as intended. Don't get angry when the bus is late or when your food takes too long to get to the table, instead be grateful for all the times your expectations were met. I want to thank you for taking the time to be here with me, and as always I appreciate you feedback!

What is the one thing you attribute most of your success to? My number one key to success is consistency. Everyday I like to spend time with things I am trying to grow and build. This applies to my business, personal relationships and spiritual learning. The same principle that applies to learning also applies to life. If you want to get better at something and perform at your best, you must give it attention on a daily basis. If you take the time to focus some attention each day on the things you are trying to build, I guarantee you will notice a considerable difference! Do you find yourself always trying to tell other people what to do? In the past, I never passed up on the opportunity to give other people advice. Telling others what to do felt empowering to me, but it didn't come without consequences. Putting in my two cents at every opportunity had a negative impact on my relationships, and also took my attention away from my own development and problems. Now, I try to never tell others what to do, and instead I try to focus on my own problems. Leading by example works much better than trying to tell other what to do! Do you have trouble asking others for help? I know I have trouble accepting my limitations as a person. I believe that I can accomplish anything, but this is not true. Everyday I need the help of others to be successful. Whether it be my business or personal relationships, I rely on the input of others to succeed in life. Waiting for happiness in the future made me miserable a lot of my life

Are you happy with what you have in life? I got everything in my life I ever wanted, and I still wasn't happy. I have a beautiful wife, successful business, live in a house I own and drive a comfortable car, but I still was not happy. I am thankful to have discovered that happiness isn't about having everything I want or having things done the way I think they should be done, happiness comes from within. It is the simple joy of being alive. It doesn't matter how much money you have, how many things you own or what kind of job you have, you can be happy by simply appreciating what life has to offer. Ever since I was a kid, my mind told me that the more things I accumulated and accomplished, the happier I would be. Well, this simply wasn't true. I soon realized that the more things I bought, the utility I received drastically diminished. I have found that a life of service brings far more happiness than a life of excess and materialism. Thank you for taking the time to be here with me, and I appreciate your feedback!

Who are you really? This is a question I struggled with as a child, teenager and young adult. In the United States, we typically introduce ourselves by sharing our name, where we live and what we do for a living. Well, my birth name is Gerald (same as my Dad), I moved around growing up due to my Mom being in the Army, and I wouldn't hold a job for longer than a year when I was younger. I remember when I was an orientation leader at my college and we were supposed to introduce ourselves to the incoming freshman and include where we grew up. Each day I would tell the different groups of students I grew up in a different area and this made my supervisor angry. But, the truth was I did not know where I was from or who I really was as a person. During different phases of my life I have been involved with different groups, enjoyed different activities, held different jobs and spent time with different people. I have come to embrace that rather than associating myself with past accomplishments or past titles, I now simply am. Each moment I have the choice to be whoever I want. Why are we here today? What can we possibly accomplish in this life? What is the point of doing what we are doing everyday? To me, knowing the why of it all and knowing my purpose gives me peace of mind. I am thankful to have finally discovered my calling in life, and it is to be of service to you. In the past, my main purpose in life was to have fun. Unfortunately for me having fun often meant situations involving excitement and chaos. The world wants service out of everyone and for people to be useful in society. When you go around and do things that are not useful, you are usually not rewarded in life. Once I figured out that being of service was the proper way to live my life, I was surprised to realize how simple, yet satisfying, life can truly be. Do you constantly find yourself arguing with those around you? Anytime I have been in a place of struggle, the words I needed to hear were often said to me directly. These same words I needed to hear were the same words I tended to argue over. Last night, I received an e-mail sharing constructive criticism pertaining to my Udemy courses. My first instinct was to argue with this person, but I managed to stop myself. Instead, I thanked them for sharing their opinion with me, and may even implement some of the changes they suggested. So, the next time you find yourself inclined to argue over something, first ask yourself if they are words you need to hear. How do you react when someone insults you or tries to bully you? In the past, I would often escalate the situation or insult the other person back when someone would try to bully me, especially online. I also found that I would put myself into these situations to be bullied by acting arrogant and inconsiderate. Now I try to avoid these situations all together. When I do find myself being bullied or insulted, I have found that the best way to respond is with love and understanding.

Do you accept how your body is feeling?

Do you accept how your body is feeling? If you respect how your body is feeling when it is in pain or when you are sick, you will spend much less time in pain. In the past, I would resist fatigue, stress and headaches by taking medication. The problem with this is I was ignoring the warnings my body was giving me. At least for me, pain is usually an indication to slow down. I hope this helps you and have a great day!

What happens to me is much less important than how I react to it. I used to live my life focusing on what happened to me, and largely ignorant of how important my reaction was. Today, how I react to things is all that matters. What actually happens to me is all seen through how I react to it. I hope this video is helpful to you, and I hope you have a great day!

Seeing how people are the same inspires me to love myself and be helpful

Seeing how all people are the same inspires me to love and take care of myself, so that I can be useful for everyone else. For most of my life I felt different from those around me. This caused me to feel isolated from the rest of the world, and I didn't work well with others. Now I like to view people like ants, because we are working towards similar goals and are ultimately interconnected. Thank you for taking the time to be here with me, and I appreciate your feedback!

Do you see when you are improving at things in life? We focus so much on what we are doing wrong, that we often do not take the time to appreciate when we are making improvements in other areas. In fact, for me it often difficult to see when I am improving at something. I hope you enjoy this video, and take a second to appreciate your improvements in life!

Your pain, failure, and mistakes can help others who are currently experiencing them. I attribute a large amount of my success to the support group I meet with each day. It is a relief to see that you are not alone in your struggles, and that others have been in your shoes in the past. It is scary to think of where I would be without the daily support I receive. Use your past mistakes to help others today!
