This page is a place where supporters of The Friends of Devonport Park Charity (The FDP) can show their appreciation of the work of the volunteers of the FDP with monthly donations. The FDP wishes to thank everyone who can support the charity, by whatever means, to ensure it's continued survival and thereby help to continue keeping the park as beautiful as it is today, for everyone's enjoyment and pleasure.

THE FDP are a voluntary community group (now a Charity) which has an elected committee, representative of the area surrounding Devonport Park, who alongside members of other community organisations and the Plymouth City Council (PCC), have worked together to complete and maintain the restoration of Devonport Park.

Devonport Park also known as ‘The People’s Park’ is a beautiful Victorian park, in use as such from the mid-1800’s. It has seen many changes over the years, both in its general appearance and uses. Over the years, the park has seen a general decline in its maintenance and use and this was the main reason for the creation of the FDP community group in September 2005.

The restoration project now complete, the focus of the FDP now is to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the park, provide free community events for the the public within the park each year, maintain a voluntary force of keen gardeners to assist in the park's ongoing maintenance and other projects.
