Hari Om Compassionate Family,
I am headed to Guatemala to teach English in Quetzaltenango (locals call it Xela pronnouneced "Chela") when my friends and family told me about the Mexican troops placed on the border. I don't watch the news and am not a political person. So please this is not about any of that. This project is just about helping people who need help. People who need clean water, safe food and supplies to feel protected from the elements, especially mothers and children. I am based in Xela which is about 2 hours from the northern border of Guatemala (Southern border of Mexico). I will be teaching English to the locals and learning Spanish as well only about 10 - 20 hours per week. The rest of the time I hope to be organizing supplies by ordering either from Amazon or buying from the local Walmart and other local vendors. With your help we can help those who are far away from home with little to nothing to eat or drink, especially the children. I just happen to be in this position with little extra resources but with your help I can buy, receive, and organize delivery of supplies.

I am a social worker by education (MSW) and cofounded a nonprofit helping drug addicted men in 2010. We organized their housing, food and medical needs. I am retired from that project now. I am trained in advanced yoga, Gandai Reiki and advanced Trauma Release Exercise (TRE©) founded by Dr. Bercelli. I feel a calling to do this work if I have the means to do it. Only with your help will it be possible. I will do my best to let you know what is going on at the border but top priority will be getting supplies there.
May you be blessed,
MA LAXMI ANAND
