Mark Magdamit I suspect the sepia mode in Megapanel might be for making it colorblind-friendly. That's just a guess, since the panel designs are blotchy-textured. I had no idea about the history of Trampoline Terror - fascinating!

8BG 5 - Blarble 1290 released!

Hello all!

Today I'm proud to announce the release of Blarble 1290, the first and only Game Boy Printer-enabled interactive fiction game!

The story is a short sci-fi tale about humanity's relation to machines. It has 4 endings, some of which are SECRET.

Unfortunately you can't play this one in the browser, but the webpage for it does have instructions on how to emulate the printer with the VBA emulator. I'm also looking into other options.

However, this game is best played on real hardware, so if you wanna set up a time to play it, just message me and if you're in the Boston area we can set up something. Same goes for the other games, too!


Hope you like it! (also let me know if you end up trying it out, I want to see how well others are able to play it with emulation).

8BG 6 - Beep Boop Boom Box released!

Hi all!

You thought I was done for the day, but I wasn't!! I'm also releasing 8BG 6! I felt bad for those who can't play Blarble 1290 on its proper hardware, so I'm also releasing 8BG 6 which works in the emulator AND in the browser! I call it the Beep Boop Boom Box!

It's a tone matrix-style music toy with 2 customizable tracks and a percussion track! Press select to open up the sound settings and change how the sounds play! Fun and relaxing! BEEP BOOP BEEP.


This game also has the honor of being made with the shortest development time of THREE DAYS. Aside from Blarble 1290 it's probably also the most complex because I also learned how to use fancy things like interrupts and bit manipulation to get all the sounds working in time and able to be changed on the fly.
