Reaching this funding goal I would offer a free community painting class once a month at my studio and of course be able to pay for my studio, get supplies and all that other fun stuff!
About
I am an artist, art teacher, certified life coach, and graduate student in mental health counseling. I live in Waukesha, WI with my husband Joel, cat Jack and dog Colby. When I am not painting I love to teach others to paint, I love gardening and growing flowers, herbs, fruits and veggies, and I enjoy meditating and going for peaceful walks.

As a little girl I was obsessed with horses. I dreamed about them, read books, watched movies, pretended to be a horse and spent hours drawing horses. It wasn't just horses that I loved as I grew up, I loved being in nature, listening to the birds, playing with my dog, gazing in amazement at the glorious colors of the Sonoran desert sunsets. Art came into my life in college where I studied painting and art education. From there I taught art to children for many years. It was fulfilling but left me with little time or energy to truly focus on my own artistic passions and inspirations. For years I just dabbled in creating.
I believe we are all creative beings and teaching art and helping others develop their creativity is deeply inspiring and energizing to me. Today, at my art studio, I offer expressive painting, beginners acrylic painting and art journaling classes. While teaching is still important to me my goal is to also continue to develop my personal creative voice and share my artistic vision with others. As a Patreon supporter your generous gifts will allow me to continue my dreams of my art school True Creative You Art Studio and create my personal artwork.
For the month of January I set a goal for myself to paint 30 5"x7" birds, no small feat, but it was accomplished! They are for sale in my Etsy Shop: Cecelia Blenker Studio. This project instilled in me the importance of creating everyday. This has led to my goal of creating a book of inspiration that will help nurture other people's creative dreams. My book will be a daily courageous journey of creativity through art journaling with inspirational prompts, art techniques to try and even fun collage papers to use!
With your support I will be able to continue creating paintings, work on my book ideas and continue to offer unique art classes. I would love to offer a free painting class or some type of scholarship for students to attend and your patronage will definitely help with that dream! Any amount is appreciated for one month or as many as you would like! Your patronage will help me to pay for my wonderful studio space and much needed art supplies!
My plan is to continue painting daily 5"x7" acrylic paintings and display them through my Cecelia Blenker Gallery at www.dailypaintworks.com. My large acrylic paintings are evolving into what I call modern expressionist botanical paintings, inspired by the intuitive painting process and my love for flowers, plants and botanical illustration. My book ideas and Ecourse ideas are taking shape and soon to be available!
