My goal is make it so any kid has the opportunity to learn the game of golf regardless of their economic means.  And here in Solano County, we are off to a great start!

Organizations like the FirstTee.org and YouthOnCourse.org have brought the cost of green fees down to about the price of a McDonald's Happy Meal. Plus, we have people that provide golf balls and clubs for the kids. Furthermore, the City of Fairfield provides kids with range balls for only $1 per bucket.  But the missing link for many kids is access to quality professional golf lessons. Without proper instruction, especially when a kid first tries the game, results in frustration and disappointment; many if not most kids quickly quit and go back to the couch and their video games.

For the past 10 years I have been a part time volunteer golf coach and instructor for the City of Fairfield, the local Holy Spirit Middle School, and most recently, in cooperation with Legend's Bar and Grill as the Solano Golf Pro (see www.solanogolfpro.com). I am a photographer by trade but find teaching kids most rewarding. My goal is to increase the amount of time I can spend teaching and coaching golf to juniors.

To date, I have never charged a kid for a golf lesson and I am commited to never charging in the future. That is why I am turning to Patreon.com and 'crowd-funding' as a vehicle that will help increase the time I can give to any kid that wants my help.

Goals
$23 of $1,000 per month
To provide 15 hours of lessons to individuals or groups. And to create one video per month to share the Solano Golf Pro's instruction method so others outside the Solano County area may benefit.
