A one year project dedicated to the person I love, and what it's like to lose them.

Hi, my name is Jose and I'm the creator of "A Year to Happiness..."; a year long art series focusing on my experiences, and failures with the one I love. It's dedicated to one person, and hopefully after this year of reflection I'll be able to see life without them in it. 
      
      Over a decade ago, when I was eighteen, I remember being fearless about love and relationships. Back then I would say I was foolhardy but I wasn't afraid to try loving someone. Now, I find that I've turned into a person that I don't want to be, a person that doesn't trust in others and can't accept that someone would love me. When the time came that I found someone I truly loved, I was too afraid to act, and because of that I lost them.

       Really, this art collection is a way for me to try and show her what she meant to me, since I'll never have the chance to show her again. After this is all over, and I've finished my year, if she hasn't come back then I'll move on, but at least I'll have something to point to and say, that was real. 

      The collection will include photos, drawings, poems, paintings, really whatever strikes me. I will upload at least three times a week, but by the end of the year I'm going to hit 365 pieces. I'll also be incorporating video and podcasts into the project later this year around Christmas.

      I truly hope you'll visit often and I hope the pieces I create will speak to you. If you was a person who's ever been in love, and lost it, this is for you.
