Legend of Towercraft started out as a passion project and is finally in a presentable state. We have the vision to create a tower defense game mixed with an ARPG for mobile WITHOUT pay-to-win elements. Solve the levels with witty tower placement and usage of your hero. Find out what went wrong in the world. Collect items, which improve the strength of your hero and your towers and raise the difficulty. Choose one out of 3 classes to begin your adventure. Build your town and craft the items you need.

Why do we need your support?

Legend of Towercraft has grown a lot since we first started and we have reduced our full-time job to part-time to be able to produce the game. Unfortunately our savings will run out around July 2020 and we will have to go back to a full-time job. We want to chase our dream of releasing a game for free, which only contains NON-pay-to-win microtransactions and want to implement all the features and stories we have in mind. Help us to continue the dream of bringing this game to the world!

What will we do with your support?

  • We will add more features such as a challenge mode in which you can compete with players of similar level.
  • We will be able to put more work into the games graphics - Especially the caves need an update!

For anyone interested in a little backstory...

My wife and I started the project as a little passion project around one year ago. In the beginning there were little grey blocks with letters indicating the towers and the hero and enemies were held in a similar fashion. Items and everything started like this as well. You collected itemsets and threw grey balls at unicolored blobs.

Then some colleagues started playing and actually liked it more than I thought it could be possible for something shitty like that :O So we started investing a "little" more time... Bought some graphical assets and shaped them for our needs. Set up a server to allow trading of items and chatting. Levels and Items are generated serverside in an attempt to prevent cheating (at least as much as possible). It will also allow us to implement a challenge-mode to compete with each other.

By now the team grew and we hope to release the open Beta within the next 4-5 months.
The game won't have any pay-to-win elements as I hate those. I find it frustrating that there are so less mobile games that don't have this. The game may generate some income by selling cosmetics, extra adventure slots (standard is 3) and bagslots for the item hoarders. But the game will be completable without any of this and you cannot get advantages when challenging others by spending money... I played several mobile games which featured competition and always got frustrated over time, that the real competition was always held between the "whales"...

Now a little more about the current state and some propaganda ;)

Solve the levels with witty tower placement and usage of your hero. Find out what went wrong in the world. Collect items, which improve the strength of your hero and your towers and raise the difficulty. Choose one out of 3 classes to begin your adventure. Build your town and craft the items you need. Most initial challenges are solved. Items and level are generated on the game server. Trading is in place. A composer joined the team some days ago to improve our music and SFX. His music is amazing!
As of today, we have 15 checkpoints with a total of 50+ levels. To complete the first story arc this needs to be at least double as much. But the core architecture stands and the flexible in-house level editor allows us to add new features in a quick manner.
10 Itemsets are already collectable. We want to add unique items giving you more choices to customize your way of tackling the game. There are 40+ talent choices for the 3 classes - we want to make it at least 100.
