Hello.  My name is Timothy Lawton.  I am a writer.  I write things. I write grocery lists, letters, e-mails, instant messages, and tweets.  At work, I write advertisements.  But the most important thing I write, and the thing I enjoy writing the most...is stories.  I've been writing stories for a long time.  I've studied them a lot too.  I got two whole degrees in studying stories despite the complete lack of financial opportunity in such a venture.  Not that I'm complaining.  I quite like stories.  In fact, if you want to read some of my stories that I give away for free, you should go to www.spidersinajar.com  That website also contains my blog and podcasts I do with several other of my amateur writer friends.

I write many kinds of stories, though the initial five that I intend to release via Patreon are all connected and part of the same universe.  They are a cycle of superhero character-based science fiction stories that I collectively refer to as Metahuman Affairs. The first story is called "Superhero".  I will also have lots of other goodies and extras for those who patronize above the one dollar level, however one dollar is all you need to get access to each short story.  Once the first cycle is complete, I will continue to release stories, which will vary in genre and style. I have also considered a special serialized story told in episodic "issues" (not unlike a comic book series, but in prose format).

Your money will help to do several things.  First and most importantly, it will help fund my website and keep it alive so my blog, podcasts and free content will continue to remain available.  Secondly, it will help fund my life so I have more free time to dedicate to writing stories for all of you.  It's as simple as that.

If you want to read some sample material or just learn more about me, Spiders in a Jar is a good place to start.  You'll also get to learn what the name means on the about page, which is a pretty sweet deal.

Thanks for your time and attention!  You guys are awesome.

Keep your spiders safe,

TL
