Hello! My name is Natalie "Tally" Nourigat. I'm a cartoonist, and I've been living my dream and drawing comics, storyboards, and concept art professionally since 2009. My next creator-owned project is a comic called Over the Surface. It's the story of a young lady pilot named Ava who has to navigate right and wrong in a time of war. Expect action, adventure, comedy, romance, fantastic travels...all the good stuff!

Over the Surface will be published as a 10-issue full-color miniseries by Oni Press (of Scott Pilgrim, Whiteout, and The Sixth Gun fame) in 2016. In 2015, my goal is to draw issues 1-5.

I've been given the go-ahead to post previews and behind-the-scenes artwork (as well as some complete pages!) to this Patreon account. That means I can bring you behind the scenes with me on a project that I care a lot about, an entire year ahead of its publication. Every week, Patrons will get to see new artwork from Over The Surface!
If you want to support my work and/or get the inside scoop on Over The Surface, I hope you'll join me on Patreon!
This video explains it really well.
How often will I see new content if I become a Patron?
I will post at least once / week with new artwork from Over The Surface.
Will you add more rewards/goals?
If there's something else you think I should offer, let me know! I'm open to adding more, but I do want to keep this Patreon very focused on my primary goal: finishing the comic.
How will my money be used?
10% goes to Patreon, a small monthly fee goes to Paypal, and the rest goes to me, where I'll put it to relevant use for my website hosting, computer maintenance, and software subscriptions (I'm drawing digitally, so these are my "art supplies"). Also, it would be fantastic to meet readers outside of the Pacific Northwest when the comics are coming out in 2016/2017! I would love to attend conventions like SPX, TCAF, VanCAF, or even Thought Bubble if I can afford to.
I want to support you, but I can't pledge right now.
If you want to support me in other ways, you can always share this link on Facebook, or tell a friend about this project, or pledge later on, or buy the comics when they come out. It's all good!
Any other questions? Please feel free to ask!
