I live in Jordan (Israel's neighbor). My background is strategic comms with a garnish of film. Mostly writing and the pitch end of things, sadly. I made a short documentary a while ago for a Jerusalem client. The Catholic Church. Telling their story as Christian Palestinians. It was a chance to do something politically responsible and I thank them for that. Since then I've come up with a few ideas of my own that are rooted here. BEIT FUEGO is just that. A love story set in an Arab village where all the main characters speak English. It's a riff on Romeo and Juliet with unexpected twists, largely based on true stories. The whole thing is shot out of sequence so the audience can interact and try to figure things out. Getting the pilot made will help me get it to people I know who already love the script and want to see more. The story will be a dramedy (Slumdog Millionaire meets Twin Peaks) topped with things you will and won't expect from a series directly set in the Arab world.
