I began writing publicly in 2014 on topics like current events, history, philosophy, food, and literature, as well as producing the occasional interview and journalism piece. Since then, the people I have met and who have become readers have been an incredible source of encouragement. If you've been a reader of mine for some time, you've likely not only read my essays on my website, but have also read them in publications like The Humanist, Intellectual Takeout, Thought Catalog, and Areo Magazine

Writing publicly these past four years has truly been a very fulfilling experience. It really is a pleasure learning more about deep and interesting subjects and then sharing what you learn with other people in a compelling way. This being said, writing essays and books takes a lot of time, hard work, and— more frequently than not— money. The amount of research, late night hours, and travel on some occasions can be quite a challenge when you have other obligations (like a full time job). It was the 18th century philosopher William Godwin who often complained that "My readers often read in a day what took me a year to write!"

So if you're a reader of mine (whether you're new or you've followed me for awhile) and you would like to see me write more frequently, please consider becoming a regular contributor. Your support will be an immense help in allowing me to write more, because it will free up more of my time and will allow me to travel to more places where good stories are.
