New Song "I Would Rather Be Gone"

Hey there. Here's an acoustic demo of a new song called "I Would Rather Be Gone." I've actually been playing it live for a while, and I'm pretty far along on the studio version as well, but here's the stripped-down version on the National guitar I got a couple months back. In the meantime, I'm still chipping away at my next release. It's a slow process, and your support on here for my demos and covers is basically why I can afford to take my time and make the best studio album I possibly can. Gillian Welch Cover w/ Graham Patzner

I recently spent an afternoon with my friend Graham Patzner (who played violin on "Quitters") and we recorded a couple Gillian Welch tunes. She's one of my favorite songwriters (well, two of them, since "Gillian Welch" is actually a duo of her + David Rawlings), but her songs are generally written for two voices, so I've never tried covering any of them. So, it was super exciting for me to be able to play them with somebody as talented as Graham. Im trying to learn your song chicken wire, can't quite get it by watching videos..
