"The Daylight Here" (Alternate Version)

Heyo, I just recorded this song as my entry to NPR's Tiny Desk Contest. If you know what's good for you, you're already familiar with the version I recorded with Nataly Dawn for our band My Terrible Friend. It's one of my favorites that I've written, so I decided to roll with it for my Tiny Desk submission. If you don't know what a Tiny Desk Concert is, look it up on YouTube. You will see a bunch of performances by every band I like. The winner of this contest gets to do one of those, so I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. Actually, that sounds too casual. Entering an NPR contest as an independent musician is more like trying to stuff a sombrero into a subway car that's already totally full of hats. So, you know. I thought I'd do that. Arcade Fire Cover

Heyo, Decided to roll with a newer classic this time around. It was supposed to be a super mellow cover, but I was having fun with some new toys, and it turned into something a little different. Hope you like it! On a related note, I see now that the decision to call my Bandcamp collection "Demos" was decidedly lacking in foresight. Live and learn, you guys. Stephen Mesa Wow, this is incredibly done! I have listened to it many many times now. You've totally done it justice. Side note: this may sound absurd, but my brand new son was super fussy and crying when I turned this on and it mesmerized him! Your music is so magical it soothes crying babies!
