Hello. I write novels.

Right. Down to business.

So, why Patreon? Well, quite frankly, it's a lot of work to write a book. And it's also absurdly time-consuming. More, I think, than most people realize. When was the last time you tried stringing together 300-500 pages of semi-coherent text? It's a hassle. And if I'm going to be working full-time on the side, then I fear my production will slow down pretty significantly.

A little bit about my books. I write mainly sci-fi, fantasy, or horror. Those are the genres I like to read, so those are the ones I write. I like weirdness. I like it when things get absurd, and when the absurd gets treated as commonplace. A lot of my stuff is fairly serious, but rarely without at least a hint of humor. It doesn't pay to be so damn dreary all the time. I try not to be preachy, but sometimes I can't help myself.

I spent about a year and a half, working five to eight hours a day, writing my first novel, In the Seraphim City, before I was happy enough to release it. This while I was also getting my Bachelor's Degree in Literature, and later my Master's. It was extremely well-received - by readers and reviewers alike - and I've been getting a lot of encouragement since then to do this for a living. Which is really goddamn hard because, really, who reads books anymore?

Well, my friend - I hope you do! And I hope you'll consider supporting me so I can continue creating! And I'm hoping, through Patreon, to make that happen - and to make sure I can give something back to the people who support me!
