Craig - curious if you have any specific information regarding the storage solution you finally decided on for the Warhammer: Diskwars game. Please post photos, and any information that you have. I appreciate the help!!

The D6 Generation Hmm . . . trying to figure out how to get a picture on here . . . It's a photo storage case with 16 smaller cases inside it . . . Well, here's a link: http://www.michaels.com/iris-photo-box-16-cases/10174559.html?cm_mmc=Sq1_Search-_-GooglePLA-_-Iris-_-Iris%20Photo%20Box,%2016%20Cases&utm_source=GooglePLA&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Iris&utm_term=Iris%20Photo%20Box,%2016%20Cases&utm_content=10174559&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=26-403491511-2

The D6 Generation Wow, guys, what a night! Russ is going to be coming home to some extra work, it looks like! :) Thanks to all of YOU, who quite literally made this possible! We were thinking it might happen sometime over the winter, if we were lucky! Now, sadly, you'll all be able to see how lame actually recording achievements can be. It'll be up to you guys to make it better. :) ~Craig

I'm hoping that one of the D6 patrons could help a fellow gamer out. Does anyone have a local store that they know has a copy of the just released "Marvel Dice Masters" starter set? I'm looking to get one, possibly two of the starters. Would be willing to pay pal anyone the costs, plus shipping, to get two starters shipped to me. I've been scouring eBay, but the piranhas are out in force. Most are charge upwards of $50 for a $15 starter. Anyone who could help, please post here, or email me ([email protected]). Mark

The D6 Generation Rumor has it these are appearing in random Target stores around the country. One of our local gamers found a copy there. Good luck in your quest!

Mark DiBlasi Thanks for the tip. Over the weekend, I found one at my local Hastings, along with a few dice boosters. I did check at Target, but nothing there.

I think this may be mail carriers in general. I jut received a video card I ordered from Amazon which was totally crushed!!

A disturbing trend I've noticed with Gaming Kickstarter Campaigns has to do with a simple, yet important aspect - shipping. I've had a rash of problems with KS games damaged during shipment that is becoming an epidemic. I'm thinking its just a simple case of the companies not packing their boxes well enough. So far, I've had problems with the following KS games that I've had to go back and ask for replacements. SOME of them, I'm still waiting on replacements for them! The games I've had problems with are: The Agents Wild West Exodus Deadzone Myth Bombshell Babes Ogre Nearly all of these were damaged boxes caused by the shipment process. However, in nearly all cases, the problem wouldn't have occurred if there was just more care taken in properly wrapping/packaging the items. Normally, I don't mind stuff like this. But this list, with one exception, is a list of products I've received back-to-back over the past few months. And every one of them as had damage. My reason for posting this is simple - has anyone else been having these types of issues, or does my local UPS/FED EX/USPS delivery person just not like me? Thoughts?

Boardgames turned into iOS Apps

I'm wondering what the group and the hosts would rank as the best boardgames that have been turned into iOS apps. Going to be traveling a lot soon, and would like to get something for the iPad. Suggestions??

Jeffrey Morgan My faves are Lords of Waterdeep, Suburbia and Neuroshima Hex. Tons of great ones out there though. I recommend you look on BGG.com at thi iOS News threads or PocketGamer for more suggestions and reviews.

Lunavoco I have Quarriors on iPad. It works well, but you have to know how to play before you boot it up. Its pacing is a little frantic. That aside, it does a great job replicating the physical game.

Lunavoco Side Question: how is everyone getting informed about good Kick-starters? I can't seem to use their site effectively at all! It's hard to search for things you haven't discovered yet...

March 4, 2014 16:15:34 · Reply

The D6 Generation I'm with you, Lunavoco. I always seem to miss the really cool ones, and whenever I try to use their website to find anything gaming oriented, I see mostly video games . . . and then a month later hear about the cool kickstarter I missed out on. :( On the other hand, Dwarven Forge was AWESOME, and they've just announced that their new one, for caverns, will be later this month! ~Craig

Peter If you want to keep up on kickstarter gaming stuff there is a good short weekly podcast called gamepunting. He covers board games and minis on KS and indie-go-go. His coverage is selective (ie what interests him) but for minis and board games with minis I have found it to be pretty comprehensive.
