About

I'm a freelance writer, photographer, and blogger who writes book reviews in his spare time. My hope is to one day provide a place where first time authors can get their books reviewed at no cost to themselves.

When I first thought that I wanted to be a writer, I had no idea it would lead me to this. At one time I used to be a paranormal investigator, and would write weekly "notes" on Facebook about investigations, evidence, or paranormal theories. Then one day my friend Dan and I thought "why don't we try putting some of this stuff in a book?", and from there everything was different. After 4 years of research and testing we published our first book together called Paranormal Theories: A Logical Approach but it wasn't enough for me. I started writing two non-fiction books while also trying to market and promote our theory book, but found that to be harder than writing it. When you self publish the hardest thing to do with your book is get it in other peoples hands and find someone willing to review it. That is where I got the idea to offer my own blog up as a way to review people's work who haven't found a reviewer to write about their stuff. I provide my reviewing services for free and ask the author to send me a PDF version of their book so they can keep the physical copy. The drawback of this is, providing a free service makes it very difficult to continue my own writing interests when trying to juggle the reviews and paying my bills. However finding this site I think is my answer. I'd use the generous gift you're presenting me with as a way to continue free reviews to my clients. My website domain and hosting fees, my time dedicated to reading and reviewing each book, and review advertising would all be covered. Please, if you've ever written a new book and struggled to get someone to read it, let alone review it, help me in helping others like you.
