Even The Sun's Happy

I finished the Ryu (of the Breath of Fire persuasion, not Street Fighter) picture I've been working on! Even though I prefer his design in BoF 1 and 2 this is probably my favorite Ryu picture I've done. I tried to keep it colorful since I tend to think of bright, saturated colors when I think of the characters from the series - or at least in the first three games.

Disgaea Fanart - Etna & Flonne

My attempt to draw something both cute and sexy instead of only picking one subject. ^^ And there is symbolism and stuff going on, yay! Etna and Flonne are also supposed to be adults here - Flonne still retaining innocence and cuteness and Etna looking more like the little succubus she is. Payden K. Pringle :D Good job. While I find this awesome as a major fan of Disgaea, I cannot help but point out that Etna's bust is smaller than Flonne's in the games. :P Oh well. Creative license and all.

Otakatt I figured giving her a large bust would be okay since I was drawing them as adults. Some might argue that in the game they are already adults, but considering they look 10 (Etna especially) I just don't buy that. XD So I just made it so puberty was especially kind to Etna~ TLDR: Creative license, yes. Glad you like it though!

Payden K. Pringle Awesome. :) With the dagger, I would expect her to be some kind of Battlemage-Rouge hybrid. Then again I haven't played D&D long enough to know how that stuff works.

Otakatt Equipment-wise, I'm just opting for a dagger for her rather than the usual staff. It's small and easy to conceal, but isn't gonna be a main way to attack by any means. I wanted her to be a Sorceress but like bards they take Charisma, and I didn't want to make a character that's too similar to bard, mechanics-wise. So I might just go wizard with her. I should probably check out some prestige classes and see if there's a neat prestige caster class to shoot for if I ever end up using her. Really I'm just hoping it's all unnecessary and my bard doesn't end up kicking the bucket. XD

Loss

I finally went and finished the Pet Loss thing I had been working on. Got harder to work on at the end, but I forced myself to keep going because I didn't want it to sit as unfinished forever. A bit different from what I usually do, but cathartic to work on I suppose.

Alina Sinclair v2.0

Needed a break from commissions. I like this version of Alina much better. I did a lot of doodling to get her outfit just right tweaking idea after idea... I find it hard sometimes to design someone who is supposed to wear simple clothing, because then it just turns "plain" which is no fun to look at. Adding some stripes and swapping some colors around really enhanced her look, imo. ^^

D&D Party Height Chart

Finished up the D&D Party Height Chart~! :3 I'm pretty happy with the end result. It's not perfect (dem feet lol) or anything but it was really fun to do. This is probably the sort of thing not long ago I wouldn't have attempted. I'd just say I couldn't do it. That I can't draw men. I can't draw dragon legs. I can't draw dogs. I can't draw more than one person in the same picture and have them look correctly sized. So it's nice to do a thing in spite of doubt and prove myself wrong from time to time. ^^ Now I just gotta learn to draw feet proper-like. >:(

Sevag Bakalian Oh man Kenshin! When my brother and I lived in Lebanon, we would get the manga in French, white-out the text bubbles and write in the English. Good times. =) As for the style, I dig it! I think the gradation effect it gives is nice. It's gentler on the eyes, in a way; it's not as dramatic.

Otakatt Thanks! :) I don't know too much about it. I think I probably know more about the one movie for it rather than the anime thanks to AMVs years ago. But my bf seems to be a fan of it and says it's good. I just can't seem to really get into anime nowadays. I appreciate the art and various styles but so little interests me in terms of things to watch. Unless it's on YouTube. I watch YouTube. XD

Good old Joel. In Campaign 2 he was a clumsy but good hearted halfling Adept NPC. In Campaign 4 he is a Paladin of Pelor, and a very prominent figure in the country known for his heroics.

In terms of fantasy races, I used to very much not care at all about Halflings, but after the DM created Joel I grew to love them, even to the point that my character I play in Campaign 4 is also a halfling. Dungeons and Dragons Campaign 4 Group Shot

Coming up at the beginning of June is my boyfriend's birthday and our one year anniversary. He's also the DM for our D&D adventures. I wanted to do something really nice for him that also outdid Valentine's Day's image so I drew our current campaign's party in a group shot. This took a considerable bit of time and effort and I'm rather pleased with the end results. He is also a big fan, as are the others in the group! It includes the main party as well as a couple supporting NPCs. It's a pretty big group. :V

Beluar and May got a Relationship Upgrade, so naturally I had to draw em together. I really like cute couple-y pictures, I just never draw them since I'm not particularly good at it (I used reference for this one).


After the lineart, I knew I wanted to shade it a little differently than I usually do... Someone on Facebook suggested a watercolor look, and though I had no idea how to do that exactly, I tried a soft, textured look... an attempt a painter-y thing. XD
