Z-Trigger is a collaboration between self-published author William Hill and Brandon Harris to deliver podcasts and other web media about video games, science fiction and fantasy literature, and more. Our weekly show, the Z-Trigger Podcast, discusses news, books, and a selected topic about game design, industry trends, and the history of video games. In addition to the weekly show, we have special feature shows, such as God Save Square-Enix, commenting on the state of our once favorite publishing house for RPGs, as well as two other slated features that are coming down the pipe about video game novels, and Star Wars novels. We have a YouTube channel, and are both frequently streaming games on Twitch.TV.

This is where you can listen to our podcast.
And watch our videos.

WHY PATREON?

Our show is new, and as such, still growing an audience. Patreon is offering us another level of visibility, just because we’re listed. However, our show is already expanding, and we would like to bring our production values higher and higher with every release. While we’d like to consider Patreon nothing more than a tip jar, a means for people to contribute without necessity, we also want our listeners/viewers to know what we would do should they chose to fund our projects. Video is the next step for our program, as our audio component is already firmly placed with decent equipment to manage our recordings. We have cameras. We can get some footage. However, we would like to invest in better video capture hardware with which to produce our video content. We'd also like to purchase light kits, lapel microphones, and even a green screen rig. Giving haste to our recording means that we could potentially build new shows over time, on top of the occasional review or editorial release on our YouTube channel. At this time, we only have a couple of videos. Some of our upcoming videos have upscaled production values. Others are
simple reviews.

We should also note that we have an outline for a full-fledged fictional web series that would include game reviews in its structure. We’re going to keep the details of that close for the moment, and reveal them when we are in production. It might be a while. It’s not a small scale project.

First and foremost, check out our show. Don’t worry about this whole funding thing unless you dig what we do. And even if you like our show and don’t want to or can’t afford to fund our work, that is also completely fine. Just subscribe to our channels and keep listening and watching. That alone means you’re a pretty awesome person, and we’re glad to have you around.

We don't want anyone to break the bank funding our project. If you can and want to put more into funding our show, please do, but we don't have anything to promise but oceans of appreciation, and early access to our content. Also we will post secret messages (that might occasionally be coded) to our Patreon page.
Goals
$0 of $7,500 per month
With this goal, we are will advance into full production on a sci-fi web series which features video game reviews as part of the narrative. We are aware how much money this is, and we don't expect to get it any time soon. However, this would allow us to focus wholly on this show, and deliver full seasons on a steady release schedule. This would be a massive undertaking, and it's part of the reason we got Z-Trigger back on the air in the first place. It's a lofty, wonderful goal.
