The Doubleclicks: Where Are You? In a Pizza Roll TARDIS? AGAIN!?

Hello friends! 


Thank you for still being here, Patrons! I know it's been a long time since we've accessed this page, but we are really thankful that it is here! After a summer of releasing our album and touring, we are back home and we are in the works on new songs and covers and videos.


"We've heard that before!" say the more cynical of you. You sure have! Here's a thing that happened: we were planning to release our President Snakes Animated Video as a Patreon-funded video, but because that was part of our album, which was funded by our Kickstarter, we felt like it would feel weird to charge you for that video, even though we did previously tell you we were going to do that. So we didn't. We did post it, though, and it's on YouTube!


What other things have we done instead of making Patreon videos? Well, a pizza rolls video, of course! That video (see the top of this message) was part of a collaboration with Nerdist. You can see all about that collaboration in a nice behind-the-scenes video they made in conjunction. Of course you aren't being charged for that video, since that was a commercial commission.


It's fall now, and fall is the Doubleclicks time of songwriting and videomaking and independent creativity. We'll be here posting videos this fall—hopefully the first one will be up in the next week! Thanks for being around for us when we need you! I hope you will like the videos we put out!

We have been working with an animator on the video and it *should* be out this month if the art keeps going on schedule! New Milestone Unlocked & Sneak Peek at our New Video!

Hooray! Y'all unlocked the $2,400 milestone goal today! Thank you so much! This goal is called "Best Day Job Ever" and it means, this amount of money will go a huge way towards helping Aubrey & I do this musician thing full time! We're not riding in crazy luxury land so this Patreon truly is important for the basics of keeping us going (rent on this house with home studio, student loans, recording equipment, gas). This comes at a perfect time because we just recently hired a director and rented a site for our coolest, fanciest, most "professional" video ever! A behind-the-scenes picture from that shoot is attached to that update... that's right, we filmed at Portland's CAT CAFE, Purringtons (purringtonscatlounge.com). This song (it's a new original song!) will be released this month (we're going to see a rough cut tomorrow!) and it will be super exciting to have Patreon pay for that project.
