Amanda Sanders To answer the frothing ones, yes, I've moved. For many years I was moving every 6-9 months due to work. I know well how horrible internet companies can be. I still take responsibility for my work and my issues. I make a choice to be honest and communicative when things don't go as expected. I have empathy for the situation, but a business, as this is, has responsibilities to clients. Yes, he did say he would be away. He's been on FB pretty regularly, so internet is obviously not the huge issue you are making it out to be. Plenty of places have free wifi. A friend could have posted on his behalf. It's not that hard to get a simple message to the internet. He chose to set his pledges at a month of comics per pledge and said a month of comics would be 5-7 comics per week. He could have chosen not to process donations for the month. He chose to process them anyway. I think that is less than honest. All I am suggesting is that he should have communicated prior to processing to notify people that the terms of the pledge were not met this month but he would process anyway, or he could have not processed. Many people, including myself would probably have let the pledge stand. You also assume that I was enjoying the comic for years without supporting it in any way. and that is simply not true. I came to the comic pretty recently, have bought much merchandise, and donated to his car fund, then Patreon once it was available. Don't speak to what you don't know, and try to be civil. Yelling is not helpful.

Kile Mullen We contribute because we are Patrons of the Arts. I do it because I want encourage the people I like to dedicate more time to creating. It's not a subscription. I don't feel it entitles me to criticize Paul's life choices. If you feel your patronage is being abused, withdraw it. Certainly a lot more effective than griping.
