Milestone Goals
Let's get a cave.
$400 per episode
Binary needs a studio where we can improve our production quality. A place where we can kick back in our underwear, speak to people on Skype and make awesome new episodes without the sounds of traffic in the background. I enjoy making Binary on the go, but it'd be super-ultra rad to have a cave to make it in. An HQ. You could drop by, I'll put on some pants, and we can hang out.
Managing producer
$800 per episode
Having someone help with the production of Binary would be wicked and greatly improve the quality of the show. At this milestone we could get a production professional to help out (currently there is an 'I' in the Binary team, and its name is Simon).
Create a podcast version / extension of Ghost
$1,300 per episode
I love the Ghost blogging platform and built Binary on it. However, it isn't geared for podcasting, so I had to make some nasty hacks. I'd like to spend time crafting a beautiful podcasting platform based on Ghost and make it available to the world.
(Try to) Get Louis CK on the show
$3,000 per episode
OK, so we'd probably need a minor miracle to get Louis on Binary, but we're gonna try our asses off to do it anyway. Louis has some of the smartest things to say about modern life and we think his voice belongs on the show. I hope he'll agree.
Ad-free forever
$4,500 per episode
Advertising is ruining podcasting. At this milestone we can keep Binary ad-free and beholden to none but its listeners.
The Binary Live experience
$9,000 per episode
I have a concept for a live stage show that will become feasible at this milestone. We'll take the show on the m'f'n road and create an immersive story-telling experience.
Record a podcast in space
$4,000,000 per episode
Hey, we're all about big dreams here at Binary. Russia plans to re-enable space tourism in 2015 after halting activities in 2009. With enough money we could hitch a ride to orbit and record a show from space. Imagine that. Better yet - help us make it happen.
