Eldergamer There are very few alarm systems that are free of monthly fees so when I came across the Smanos I had to try it. I purchased the Smanos alarm system. Like you I had trouble with it, enough trouble that I decided to keep looking. A friend was also looking at systems the same time I was. He purchased an alarm from a company called iSmartAlarm. First thing I thought was it has something to do with apple but it’s just one more a company jumping on the ‘I’something naming convention bandwagon. It has an app for both Android and IOS. Anyway, I used the Smanos for about a week. It never worked right. I simply couldn’t trust it, when it comes to alarms that just seems unacceptable to me. My friend seemed to be happy with his so I boxed the Smanos up and shipped it back to Amazon. I purchased the iSmartAlarm alarm system from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/iSmartAlarm-iSA3-Preferred-Package-Security/dp/B00ESVCRJO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440611715&sr=8-1&keywords=iSmartAlarm It wasn’t perfect either. I had trouble with getting the system connected to the app for my phone. The remote is also not a very good design but after I fixed the phone issue I haven’t had any trouble. I’ve had no false alarms or technical hang-ups since. I’ve had it for about a year now and I don’t even give it a second thought. That’s exactly what I was looking for. Peace of mind. There may be better systems out there. I only have experience with the two mentioned above.
