I'm a historian with a Phd in early American history from Columbia University, and my dissertation was on Freemasonry in the 1700s.  I have recently taught courses at Columbia University and Barnard College.  Podcasts, however, allow me more freedom than teaching survey courses in the classroom.  Historiansplaining  will be available on Soundcloud, iTunes, and Stitcher.

I will usually produce about 3-4 lectures a month, and patrons can choose to offer any amount, large or small, for each lecture, or to put a monthly cap on your contributions.  I will only charge patrons for lectures at least one hour in length or for groups of lectures that add up to at least one hour.

I am currently living in New England, where I am an antique dealer.  I can also bake and play the banjo.

The world today is nothing more than the product of everything that came before; hence, misunderstanding the past leads us to misjudge the present.  I will focus on the historical myths and distortions that people use today in order to explain away the world in which we live; we will cut away the stilts supporting our illusions.
