Ivan Pejić Fun trivia: USB data is transmitted as a differential signal over a twisted pair of wires (interference immune design pattern) so more or less poor design of connected devices makes them susceptible to RFI/EMI and you end up paying for a ferrite choked USB. :D

Edmund Roger Hamner Correction here. It's an AEROFOIL not an AIRFOIL. Plane wings are designed by AERONAUTICAL engineers, not AIRNAUTICAL engineers.

Becca Addison What about white spots that appear at the matrix, then grow out with the rest of the nail? I get those all the time on various nails.

Arturo Gutierrez Saturn and its moons are so weird that I sometimes find it easier to think that the whole system was once the setting of an ancient alien battle and all these quirky features are the results of their planetary-scale brawl.

Richard Schmidt I have the same problem of being blocked even though I am a subscriber and have a regular $5 pledge taken each month. I have never been able to open any of the "special features" or advanced releases of SciShow. I have written to Patrion with no result, or even an answer. Maybe this will catch someone's eye.

Bennett Hennessey I have a question for you. We use alcohol to disinfect things, and one popular usage is to kill a virus when someone has a cold- like after shaking their hand. So if alcohol is so effective at killing a virus, then when you have a cold, would it not be beneficial do drink alcohol. If your body has a high level of alcohol would that not hurt the virus- like the way chemotherapy works. My English Aunts always gave a child some whiskey if they were sick. William Blanton I keep getting Patreon Postings that say I have to be a member/supporter to view. I pledge 12 bucks a month and am tired of getting these emails that say i have to be a contributor to open when I am! Can't figure out how to fix this .

Mark Brown Well done! This is a fascinating subject. I take it the sequel to this video will likely introduce the RSA algorithm. For a class, I wrote a basic function for the RSA algorithm in the programming language Haskell: encrypt :: Integer -> Integer -> Integer -> (Integer, Integer) encrypt p q m = (encrypted, decrypted) where n = p * q k = (p - 1) * (q - 1) e = getPublicKey k d = getPrivateKey e k encrypted = (m^e) `mod` n decrypted = (encrypted ^ d) `mod` n getPublicKey :: Integer -> Integer getPublicKey k = head [x | x <- [2..(k - 1)], k `mod` x /= 0] getPrivateKey :: Integer -> Integer -> Integer getPrivateKey e k = head [x | x <- [2..(k - 1)], (x * e) `mod` k == 1] It's fascinating, complicated stuff :)

Phillip Hollier-Day I'd always wondered why centripetal space stations hadn't been developed already. I guess it can't be cheap to develop something on such a large scale, but who knows what may happen in ten or twenty years.
