My name is Jake, I make games. True story, I have been playing games since my father introduced my to billiards when I was three. I have been creating them since I was thirteen. A little while ago I co-wrote Jadepunk and have written many of the supplements for the setting, as well as a couple of articles for the Fate Codex. It was like a dream come true to see my work in print, and best of all people seemed to like it. While I love writing Jadepunk supplements, and I will continue to do so in the future, I also have these other games, settings, campaigns, and adventures that I have partially designed. In this Patreon, my hope is to build these other ideas that I have been working on over the years into finished products.

Each of these products will be between two and four thousand words. This will be approximately 4 to 8 pages in length. They will focus on a specific setting element, campaign framework, or adventure setup. Each will be built using a Creative Commons or OGL game that I am familiar with. Many will probably be Fate based, as I have quite a bit of experience with Fate and it is my go to system. Other systems I would like to dig into for this project include the Apocalypse Engine, Mini Six(and D6 as a whole), but that is for later. For now I am going to stick with my wheelhouse, Fate Core.

My goal is to produce one playable project every month. Once a project is ready, I will release the final draft copy to the backers. As it stands the layout will be spare and art will be non existent. Should we reach our second milestone, I will be able to get cover art. As we go along, I will be able to get extra art and other fine features. After each project is finished there will be a vote, where select patrons will get to decide on what the next project will be. I have included a list of projects that I am super excited about making, and certain patrons can also suggest projects to be added to the list. I am very excited.

So come along friends! Let us, all of us, see what it is that Jake Makes!

Project 1
The first Project I will be putting out will be a sci-fi action adventure, The Fall. In The Fall you take the roll of an elite mech ranger task force dealing with a new threat to humanity out on the rim. You are all that stands between humanity and The Fall. After the initial project a vote will be taken on the next project I will release.

Future Projects in Pontentia
As it stands right now, I have a list of projects that I have in the hopper ready to go. As we move forward I will be accepting ideas for settings and the like from the patrons. Maybe we will even do live setting brainstorming settings via hangouts or some such. We will get into that as I find out where the interest lies. Here is a brief list of the projects I have coming up over the next couple of months. The names are just place holders for now, until I can come up with a title that works better.

Apocalypse Witch-A post apocalyptic future where the nations brought forth nuclear Armageddon to defeat the dread armies of the Witch Queen.
After The End-The Earth is gone, destroyed by the Swarm. Now humanity is on the run through space, defended by humans blessed with god shards, seeking a new home safe from their enemies.
Dragon Slayers-A look at the different kinds of dragons, the dangers they create, and methods for running a game of slaying dragons.(I could see this as the first part of a series of pieces, each dealing with a mythical animal or something and how to make a campaign out of that, like Giant Killers, Goblin Smashers, Vampire Hunters, and the like)
Space Station Pallas-on the edge of human space, politicians, soldiers, and criminals gather in this space station to make deals with members of the Elder People from beyond the Fringe.
Secrets in the Blood-Mutant animal spies who have just been burned and are now seeking to get back into the organization. It is really cool. No seriously, I mean it, this is a great idea. Why are you laughing at me like that?
The Sun Must Rise-At the dawn of civilization, a demon has stolen away the sun. Your gods have called you together to defeat the demon and free the sun.
Other-You were born with the wrong soul. You look human, sound human, but you think and feel like something else. You have the soul of a beast and must discover what that means in a modern world that fears and misunderstands you.
The Exodus-In the future humanity have been enslaved for generations. Now finally free you must lead your people back to earth, sacred homeland of humanity.
The Magnificent Journey to the West-A mystical journey of discovery and heroism across the old west. You play one of seven characters who have learned to channel their chi through their six-guns.
The King is Mad and Wolves Are at the Gate-You play the advisers and guards of a king who is slowly succumbing to madness while your lands are being ravaged by demonic enemies from the north.
Godship 01-One thousand years in the future a strange ship orbits a dying sun. The ship is constructed of no material known and is larger than any ship in Known Space.
The Artifact-An adventure focused around a specific magical artifact(Cornucopia, Excalibur, The Holy Grail, something like that). Focus on the history and myth of the artifact and how that could be used in a game. Much like the Dragon Slayers idea I could see this spawning several different adventures, each about a different artifact.

At this level we will be able to purchase some cover art for each project. I have an agreemant with James Shields to do the cover art. It will be black and white, but I think it is going to be pretty great. Lets be honest, settings and adventure really look much better with a little art. Don't you think?
