Hello, my name is Vera. I'm a high school student currently living in Sweden who adores food, cats and animation. Now enough with the cliché bio.

Here's the thing: I love stories. I've always loved stories. As a kid I was absolutely entranced with Disney movies - I sat jaw dropped for hours - and when my sister and I played, we could go on for hours and days and even weeks. We made up characters, their backgrounds, settings and entire worlds, creating longings  and strivings and conflicts - stories. For as long as I can remember I've always tried to communicate them: I've drawn since I could hold a pen, acted them out, built them with my friends.

Over all those childhood days, one particular set of worlds and characters stuck with us. It was the tales of Brownville and its inhabitants - with characters as known to me as close friends and places as real to me as if I'd grown up there. I have tons and tons of sketchbooks filled with comics, portraits, paintings and writing - all about those within that universe.

In grade 10 in IB-schools, each student has to complete a Personal Project. I gladly grasped the opportunity to take on a bigger project (having an entire year to complete it) and dove straight into the massive undertaking of writing a book. And so I did. It took a lot of work but I did.

Integrated with psychological theories of attachment, personalities and character, I based the plot vaguely  around one of our "plays" and  developed a story dealing with growing up, forming your own identity and dealing with relationships - past and present - processes that are difficult and complicated. The project centred mostly around how and why we become the people we become, with a major focus on friendships especially.

For now , I still live at home and don't really have a lot of expenses. Yet, my dream is to attend one of the big universities of animation - like Calarts, Gobelins or Sheridan - but that stuff takes money so any form of contribution towards that would be much appreciated.

My greatest wish however, is that you take part of any of my work. View it, read it, spread it. And maybe follow me on tumblr ^-^
