Bass Instincts

At the moment if someone was to come my Patreon site they might think I only worked in black or white or I was color-blinded since everything I have put up is just that. So I thought I would put up a view examples of my color to! This is Golden Bill from my Equestria dreamscape. She is the Scratch's lead bass player and long term romantic partner. The piece is done in my usual mixture of colored pencil, marker, technical pen and gouache. It was done on vellum surface Bristol Board and the image size is about 12"x 16"

Ponyville Schoolhouse

A major landmark around Ponyville is schoolhouse. Since I will be doing a picture soon involving this location I thought it would be wise to do at least one drawing of it. Also for all my patrons. I have been posting many of images at first in public view to help build a gallery of images for other potential patrons to view when they are deciding whether to sponsor me or not. However once I start posting dreamscape proper content that will be patron-view only for one week before I release to them to other sites for public view.

These are some random sketches of Applebloom from my Equestria dreamscape. Two of them are of her sparring and studying on Zecora's guidance. The third one is based on a dream that plan to complete as a finished color piece. Hopefully this year if I'm lucky.

Reaper Bloom B/W study

It has been a busy week since coming back from Babscon. Once again I want to thank everyone who showed their support for me, especially in the art show. That is the first time I have completely sold out of all my original pieces in an art show! This is image is based off a scene from my Equestria dreamscape and is the preliminary B/W study for a color piece hope to have completed by the end of the year. Based on several sketches I have posted recently several of my watcher on DA and FA have started referring to my version of Applebloom as Reaper Bloom. The main focus of this sketch was to start determining certain aspects of lighting, wardrobe and overall mood of the picture.

Rise of Encounter

Making this in one streaming session was quite the challenge, but I think it managed to turn out ok. First time making a gryphon in this style. Also the first stallion I've made this year! These last two weeks had been a bit slow on update due to Hearths Warming Con (You can read my roundup here: http://fav.me/d8j1tz8 ) But hopefully this double character piece will make up for that.
