Back in the saddle again. Wobbly, but back, anyway.

I'm working on the next comic (technically Monday's), to post it here tomorrow along with a Sunday comic. It's...hmm...90% pencilled :)

Here's Monday's comic early, since I'm still working on the long-promised Sunday comics. (And the art requests! For those who haven't had a chance to request art yet, please stand by, I'll be in touch during the week!)

In about 3 seconds Iusta was going to see if showing him what an actual hysterical woman looks like would have been any help in getting what she wants.

One of the folks on LJ made an interesting comment about the previous comic:

"Nine days and still in refugee accommodations? I have a suspicion that Justa isn't used to being an adult on her own. Calatoria Themis would have sent messengers here there and everywhere to all kinds of people for help and assistance and probably would have been invited to some villa by now. Justa is waiting for someone to deal with things, because despite her father's 'businessman's wife' line, she isn't ready to use what clout she has (and she certainly has some as her rich husband's wife/widow)."

I have to agree that's true--she's only using her clout to try to find someone who will take care of things for her. That might be about to change.

Friday's comic, early.

Damon has named the kitten, but, in an uncharacteristic display of tact, doesn't feel that now is the time for an introduction.

For real this time.

I'm going to redraw that last panel at some point. It didn't go at all the way I wanted.

The action will really rev up soon. First, Iusta needs to rest her feet.

This week I should be able to post the comics early for Patrons (Tuesday and Thursday, if the inking goes well), plus some extras (colour comic, etc.!).

Nobody's up to anything here. Move along.

As promised, Patrons get to see the comics a day early when possible :) After it posts on spqrblues.com on Wednesday, it'll be opened up for everyone to see it here, too.

Friday's comic! Everybody has an inner goddess these days.

Things I need to work on improving: foreshortening; conveniently draped shadows.

This doesn't seem to have posted as planned. If it posts twice I'll clean it up/fix any extra patron pledges.

I might rework this one. I'd like to change the layout.

Expect something extra this evening.

Finally! Not perfection, but I like how it turned out.

I think the story loses its urgency when the updates run late. I'm going to spend this afternoon working on next week's comics so they can post regularly, on time, and keep that pacing going.
