My dear & awesome patreon patrons, the second song for December is a music video :) Many of you asked if we were going to make music videos for any of the songs we released here on Patreon this year, and this is the first one of hopefully many! Katya Tsyganova directed & edited it (our fifth video together!). We shot it a couple of weeks ago at the beautiful Lake Castaic Park. My dear & awesome patrons/members of our 2 SONGS A MONTH CLUB!!

The second song this month is "Here, in California."

Remember back in March I sent you a demo recording of a part of this song

as Nick & I were writing it and asked you to help you name it?

Well, you did it!!! We chose the title based on a suggestion from Steve from Illinois. Thanks, Steve!!

And thank you to all of you who wrote and suggested the titles :) :) :)

It was super fun for me reading all of your ideas!!!

The production on this song is one of those rare times (like "Simple Magic", "Ghost Wandering This Earth" and "Icarus") where I played all of the instruments on my keybaord. It was super fun for me :) And Nick engineered and mixed/mastered it, as always!

My dear & awesome patrons/members of our 2 SONGS A MONTH CLUB!!

The second song for September is... a video! :) Last time I sent a video was almost a year ago, the Solitary Man music video. But this one is my first LYRIC video!!!

We filmed it downtown Los Angeles (and the piano part was shot in Moscow). It is directed/edited by Katya Tsyganova, who did my last 5 music videos.

We will officially release it in a few days, but for now - here it is for you.

Your support made the making of this video possible - thank you!!!!

On a personal note, SPEAK means a lot to me. When I was writing this song (with Nick, of course), I really needed a reminder to never be afraid to be myself. Which is sometimes a very scary thing to do, right? :) Life has a funny way of often slapping you in the face (figuratively speaking) and knocking you down. It is easy to feel like the whole world is against you. I try very hard to remind myself each and every day to be proud of who I am and of what I have accomplished.

Many of you have told me that you like the song's uplifting message, and I hope this lyric video will reach more people.
