Milestone Goals
Now we can treat this like a real job!
$150 per month
We're going to be paying ourselves $5 an hour so we can treat this like a real job now; yay economy!
Operating budget
$1,000 per month
This is the amount we'll need to hire people, fund their paychecks, basically operate like a real network!
Live on-location travel budget.
$2,000 per month
With this amount of money, I can finally get serious about on-location podcasts; for example, a food podcast where I check out various restaurants and drinking spots, a podcast where I ask people off the street and most importantly, coverage of special events such as comic conventions.
Now we can treat this like a real job! (Part 2)
$2,550 per month
Exactly like the first part.
The TalkNet Pad
$8,500 per month
With your help, we can get a fabolous pad in which we can produce our podcasts in. (Note: The pad will be a bachlor pad in Downtown Los Angeles, rent may vary.)
Equipment upgrades.
$18,500 per month
With this, we can make The TalkNet Pad like an actual studio complete with cameras, lights and production equipment including wait for it... Live production; which means we'll be the second podcast network with a continuous 24/7 live stream. You will not believe how these upgrades will help us, it'll place us up there with the big boys. (A seperate IRC chat server will also be included in purchase.)
Now we can treat this like a real job! (Part 3)
$18,650 per month
$20 per month. Let's just say that we get paid for sitting around and talking too much. XD

About

I'm a 22 year old musician living in the outskirts of Corona, CA with an ambition for music and all that. I have lots of skills, production skills, video editing skills, design skills and I want to get a career in music as a longterm goal. I wish I could say more but I don't know what else I'd have to say.

Now as you may know, my name is Taylor Karras and I am a podcaster/musician; based on the success I've had from podcasts such as "SimpsonsTalk" and "StargateTalk" I was tempted to create my own podcasting network and I'm finally dipping the toes in the water. I created a functional site that'll serve as the backend to this network but it's not complete. It's more like 1.5 at the moment. I also want to expand the site and expand the amount of podcasts that the network will offer. That's where you come in.

I want to offer a review podcast, an art talk podcast and a call-in podcast but it's only possible with the interest and support of you the average listener/viewer. I also want to start a daily geek news podcast alongside a roundtable geek podcast in order to gain insight into the culture.

You can see how ambitious I am and the fact that I spent a lot of time on the website means something but it can only happen with your help. Together we can turn this network into something more which basically means "you're on". I need the money for producers, directors, travel expenses, equipment and hiring purposes; live coverage is also included and if you wanted to take a deeper look into things like DragonCon, Comic-Con and WonderCon then consider donating now.

A news department is also in the works, this is part of the 2.0 vision I have for the site, an actual news site where you can get your geek/nerd/dork/pop culture news at a click of a button; with opinion pieces that give you fair insight into what's going on, news articles that are from the original source and original reporting that can only be done with contributors all around the globe.

Plus, if you really like our work and what we do, perhaps you can fund our paychecks; I mean there's only so much advertising can do and it would mean a lot to us if Kip could have money, if Alex could have money, if Caitlyn could have money, the value of our work is up to you.

So what are you waiting for, donate to TalkNet.
