I am a part-time poet exploring poetry and making my poetry available via blog to interested readers for free.  Your patronage shows both support and interest, creates an audience for me to write toward, and keeps this activity worthwhile.

Given the initial volume of poems, and my focus on development of voice and skill/craft, a monthly subscription-type approach made sense.  Now however, I write fewer poems and spend much more time with each, plus produce finished, self-contained works (studies or portraits, chapbooks, and books).  One or two creations, maybe a few, and no more than ten will be published each month (if I have that many, they'll be lumped together).

My draft poems are freely available on my blog at http://theouterringblog.blogspot.com/ and the more lyric ones, sometimes also on http://artisanalpoetry.blogspot.com/.  When I can, I also self-publish the finished, self-contained works mentioned above.

All pledging patrons can submit feedback and ask questions, and receive free advanced-copies of those works, at the time of creation or publication.  Patrons will also see patron-only postings of additional comments, explanations, and insights about each poem, not available on the blog.

What's a poem worth?  Well - it depends: each is a culmination of all the years, but also of its composition.  Pledge what you think they're worth!   There will be one to a few each month (if I write a number of them together, or as a collection, they'll post as one entry).  Thank you and enjoy!

P.S.  Picasso had an interesting approach to the value of his works (assuming the story is true) that David Airey posted on his blog:

$1,000 or more per creation

This is the tier of singular significance.

Ongoing, it would allow me to eventually retire from my day job and dedicate myself entirely to writing and teaching poetry.

These active patrons receive all the benefits mentioned in the other tires, and will be listed on all book dedications (if desired) and invited to have regular interactions with me, including readings, dinners, discussions, and other professional venues as developed.
