Joanna Larson You should do some tributes to The Wrecking Crew or Motown studios. The guys who wrote some of the best songs ever written. For inspirations watch two super awesome kick ass documentaries. 1. In the shadows of Motown. 2. The Wrecking Crew Your welcome:) Love baby baby! Brings me back!

Mel Legget Great! I am loving the new Patreon app with notifications- Hmm, what psychic eye do I have on your breakfast? Coffee!???!! :) are you guys gonna go off in a corner with your guitars and start strumming and humming!? Good morning!

sara fosdick Oh wow--Lauren ! I loved you guys singing the beegees 'i started a joke'--a fav song of mine. I think it would be very cool to get your cousin Ebie back in the kitchen with you and Lauren too, Nataly! Ya'll would be so hilarious together no matter what you cooked. I miss your 'Lucy' humor. And i think you should invite ME too into your kitchen--even just to annoy you both to no end! (however i can do the cracking of an egg with one hand like Ebie! and might be usefull, though there would most likely bits of cracked shells in the final cake or cookie--cooky? (--not bothering to look that up)) I tried to find 'my terrible friend' some time ago to subscribe--but i didn't find you, Lauren--and i couldn't remember your name. So this picture adn name has me subscribing and hoping you'll create some new work while i catch up with your previous songs. Isn't it wonderfult to have friends like Lauren, Nataly, no matter HOW terrible they are? I love surrounding myself with terrible friends as well--i do it to fool other people into thinking i'm not 'so' terrible after all. I hope you guys continued a great day together---and--oh--Nataly---and you better be laughing at this-----yesterday you responded to one of my posts to say your mother gave you her good jeans (not that i don't typo all the time) --and i was just wondering if you were referring to DNA or just a pair of casual denim pants? (pause) (this is when you should laugh out loud--but never correct MY spelling cuz it'd take you all day plus i take jokes about myself too personally!) -- sara

Here's a little ol' fashioned folk song I wrote this week. Fun fact: I'm wearing those sunglasses because of an eye infection (gross.) Not because I'm too cool for school. Well, that too. But mainly my eye looks bad.

Hope you enjoy...

sara fosdick Nataly---the drama you have created with your songs, starting in January with 'waiting room' --yes--the drama is immense--it works to the point where quite a few people have been able to get through horrible lost love breakups just by listening to your words and music. You wrote us all an update along with the song 'haze' that i don't need to repeat here---and you've followed that plan in your writing to this final song. Which seems very final indeed. And you can read where people are so convinced by your performances that they are asking in comments--wait--what? What's going on? --to this song where we hear you say you are 'never coming back'. All these songs seem so deeply heart felt and convincing. They work. They work so brilliantly until now--with this final song you actually don't come back right away to answer your patron's praises. So now people wonder--not coming back to--oh no--or not coming back--maybe-- to US ? You have brilliantly followed out your plan. The songs this year will make an incredible 'side 1' for your album---and your patrons and followers on youtube are left in suspense. Is she gone? My god--tell us! And i have got to say--if you keep going the way you are--this album will have a heart pulse pounding louder than any poem by edgar allan poe. --leaving the question---where is there to go from being gone? i think we'll all stick around for 'side 2'

sara fosdick --these songs you have written project a lot of pain and loss. If the pain is as real as you write--i hope you have purged it by the actual writing of these songs. We all hope that, Nataly.

Nataly Dawn I don't know how much you actually purge with song writing. If the problem isn't dealt with in real life it doesn't really matter how much you sing about it.

So I recorded this song in the bathtub with the back of my parlor guitar pressed up against the tub to amplify the sound. This is definitely one of those songs that'll sound better on headphones than on a laptop.

Lyrics:

What are we doing here

My body it aches and toils

And my soul is restless for tomorrow

Wringin' out all my fear

Oh what are we waiting for

Don't you dare say it'll be easier tomorrow

I could lose everything

And I probably will

Everything but my faith in you

Countin' up all my Kings

Security can't be bought

It can only be bargained for tomorrow

And girl you ain't worth a thing

Except what your hand has caught

So don't you wait for it to be given to you tomorrow.

Frank Monaco I got the strangest feeling watching and hearing this. Not only are you done up a little like Marilyn Monroe, but the lyrics could very well have reflected her last thoughts. Okay, maybe I'm projecting too much into this, but I go there sometimes. Bottom line: I like it. Thumbs up (without accidentally plucking a guitar string - LOL)

Thank you Patreon, Jack, Nataly and the Patrons who have contacted us, for treating my father so kindly in what turned out to be a huge scare in our family. Within a couple of weeks time my father, randal f. moore, as he was known by most of you, rapidly lost his memory to the point he could not remember any of his kids names. We noticed it first as he would repeat things he already told us many times. To get straight to the point--Dad does not have dimentia after all, and he is back to being the caring, loving father, g'father he is. An anxiety medication he took for 20 years suddenly quit working. He's been through the physical withdrawal which was brutal--but all the brain circuitry benzodiazapines mess will take much longer to reconnect correctly. Contrary to rumor--Dad was not banned from Patreon at all. When he realized he was losing his memeory and control very quickly, he completely withdrew from everyone and everything, till we found the proper doctor who was very familiar with the dad's problem. We of course all thought it was dementia and of course all very upset about it. We are all so relieved now. He is doing so much better. To the folks who answer emails to "hellopatreon.com". I found a letter where you were very kind to remind my father he had asked to be removed from Patreon. He did not remember that--but has made great progress but still will not be involved with social media for a good while As you two know, Jack and Nataly, Dad loves you guys because he once did what ya'll are doing in a very small way--but he could only sponsor himself and a few other singer/songwriters at a time to do house concerts throughout Texas. He was also a playwright and made part of his income renting his scripts to city civic theaters that were supported by patrons. :) In his recovery--he is not involved in any e-mail writing or social media right now. He is working on his writing but still often repeats himself. Nataly--he asked me to tell you to keep up your own personal writing ! ha ! And jack---i don't know how many theater people he has told that Patreon is unbelievable and that Jack Conti is a fucking genius ! :)

A Father/Daughter's anticipation of a long awaited video/song by Nataly Dawn

All of us Patrons have our own story of how we discovered Nataly Dawn's music or remember who it was that turned them on to her or Pomplamoose. Sometime over a year ago i was writing a stage musical (pop) tune and wanted to study the unusual harmonies of The Chordettes, Mr Sandman. But when i googled 'Mr. Sandman' i didn't get the 'The Chordettes' at all. Instead i got a wild four way split screen of a much younger woman than the Chordettes. She was singing the shit out of the song. "WTF is this !?" It wasn't a bummer "WTF", it was more like a "Whoaa dude WTF is this and how can i find More !" For a fifty something dude i was a bit too over stimulated by the song, the video and the girl. So i watched it ten times and looked for more of what this chic was all about. (in my time the term 'chic' was not a sexist term so no offense Nataly.) So you all would know that i discovered Jack Conte and Pomplamoose and looked up at about 4am just after viewing a 4 year old video of Nataly trying to sing this great song while sitting in tall grass by a barbed wire fence as Mr. Pony kept getting getting into her shot. She sang and played guitar perfectly while swatting bugs and stopping to ask Mr Pony if he might move on till she finished her song. I suddenly realized i was laughing my ass off but also totally getting into her song and music and natural comedy timing. She was exactly the kind of actress i would love to have audition for my musicals. By 5am i was crying but somehow laughing hysterically while watching a Nataly Dawn cooking show. I was flashing back to a very old family scene when i was quite young--watching I Love Lucy in our living room just before my mother died of cancer. All is fair in writing. If i could have my trial audience laughing in one scene then having grown men cry in the next scene, i'd know then the play was ready to open for the theater patrons and the general public. Nataly knows, as does Jack, Nataly's partner in Pomplamoose, and most of you patrons, that The Sara who has made comments and even defended Nataly on her Patreon site, is my daughter. I became a Patron at 5am the same morning and went to bed. The next day i made my three daughters patrons as well. Two of those daughters are quiet and wish to remain anonymous while Sara is quite outspoken. Of course i have no idea where she got that from----------------uh-hem-- Without going into rasing my three girls on music, i will at least say there was music coming from at least one room in our house at any hour of the day or night. My kids know that Dad is very passionate and gets quite excited about music. And that some music is written to be played with the volume on '11' for anyone of you who has seen 'spinal tap'. We are also all musicians but were never good enough to make a full living at it. Perhaps some of you are aware of who Sara is and the fact that she's going through a rough time in the last few months. She's been in hibernation and any father knows they'd take the pain from a daughter's heartbreak if they could. But i can't. Sara loves Nataly, but she just hasn't been open to music lately. We're at her house right now and helping with our three young g'kids (who i loVe being with but TWO WEEKS IS STRETCHING IT ! ) Sara is better so we're headed home tomorrow. She asked me today if Nataly had a new song out. So i played it for her. I have not seen her smile in several months. But by songs end she smiled. I said, "isn't that beautiful ? " Sara agreed with a bigger smile. The song calmed her and took her somewhere else for a few minutes. I told Sara that Nataly was editing a video for this particular song and it may be out this coming week. She smiled even bigger---and she told me to tell you, Nataly, "WELL IT'S ABOUT FRICKIN TIME ! " then we both laughed our asses off. So thank you Nataly, your art touches a lot of us in many different ways. And a thanks to the guy who responded to Sara when she accidentally posted a note about her divorce. You understood her pain and that meant a lot to her. To you, Nataly. We all know you work your ass off playing and singing and editing Pomplamoose music. but this last song you just released is indeed incredibly beautiful--honey vocals and harmonies by mid song--all very subtle. I'll just speak for Sara and myself, but i'm sure most every Patron of yours is very happy you continue to sing with Jack, but are also releasing this solo video. We're not singing the song or making and editing the video--but we are very proud to be your Patrons. I've definitely noticed a creative paradigm shift in your last four songs. It only makes sense for you to share new creations with the Youtube world as well. And Jack, a part of my income through life has been from patrons of the theater arts. It still amazes me that you brought to life this wonderful idea of patrons for musicians. We're so happy about your success. Man in my day--traveling musicians was a very tough life--and is now as outdated as the pony express. You are truly a man of vision. Just a reminder, Nataly. SARA IS WAITING FOR YOUR VIDEO !

Over years of writing and performing, Nataly has evolved into a very confident singer/songwriter. We hear her voice and we immediately feel less alone.
