greg hutchings Nope. That is probably the difference between compressed and lossless. To say nothing of the difference in what you don't capture at low bit depth. Lossless files are pretty large. Neil Young is a pretty big tool, but he totally has a point here, although maybe we don't need to go back to analog.

Tim Sessanna I love both the Big Star original and Elliott's cover (which I think I heard on the Thumbsucker soundtrack), and this is true to how I imagined you'd do it. :) Thanks Lauren <33

David Mencarini Very nice version. I will have to seek out the Elliott Smith version. Big Star is a very under-appreciated band from the early 70's. Thanks Lauren.

Lauren O'Connell Hey Stephen! I'm doing pretty well. The album is coming slowly, but steadily. No estimated release yet...

Lauren O'Connell I'd like to! Kind of depends on how things come together with the release. Taking it one thing at a time.

William Smith You always cover songs from bands that sound pretty obscure (or maybe I dont have my finger on the pulse of indie music) how do you find such bands?! this cover is so killer!

David Mencarini Just catching up on stuff and enjoyed this song for the first time today. Nice job and good choice for a cover. Hard to miss on a Jayhawks song. Great band.

Chaz Harris Yeah, that's a good one. Have you ever watched Northern Exposure? They played that one over the credits of the series finale. In Spite of Ourselves with John Prine is also another good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z9DleiIa9Y

Robert O'Donnell An acoustic (since that's what I'm assuming the show will be?) version of Graceland could be interesting.

Chaz Harris No problem. I liked "Out of Focus"...not sure if pianos will be a part of this presentation? Someone else mentioned Townes; hard to go wrong with any of his stuff if you're doing covers (IMO, anyway). St John the Gambler is a good one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUnoTTjx9dY Otherwise...FREEBIRD!!!! Someone had to do that at some point...lol

Ken Reilly Computer mouse. A mouse sitting at a desk wearing bi-focals, in front of a computer with it's front feet on the key board. Cat-tastrophe. Row boat full of cats heading toward a waterfall. Humming bird. Looking at sheet music with the caption" because they don't know the words" Anteater. An ant sitting at a table with a napkin tucked under it's chin(?) with a knife and fork looking down at a plate with a leaf on it. Horse drawn carriage. Stephen Mesa Wow, this is incredibly done! I have listened to it many many times now. You've totally done it justice. Side note: this may sound absurd, but my brand new son was super fussy and crying when I turned this on and it mesmerized him! Your music is so magical it soothes crying babies!
