Tiny Dancer is a rhythm/memory game, kinda like the game Simon, where you have to memorize a series of moves and then repeat them as they get longer and more complex. In this game, you're a dancer at a dance studio, and you have to follow along to the dance routine with the rest of the class. You also have to stay on beat! If you don't, your teacher will get mad. :P This is the most complex game so far, with both rhythm timing code and plentiful sprites and animation. This game taught me the intricacies of selectively loading tiles into memory, as well as simultaneously loading tiles from different tilesets. Thanks everyone! Howdy all! Orb Catcher is now live! You can play it in-browser at http://8bittygames.com/orbcatcher.html or download it from http://patchworkgames.itch.io/orbcatcher I finished this game in a week, but I've learned a whole lot from it. Most importantly, I learned about bit fields, which basically let me create primitive Objects, which is how I can treat the orbs, ball, and powerups independently of each other. This is what I needed to learn in order to implement the animations in Tiny Dancer, so now that I know how to do this, I will get started on that again! Thanks everyone :) Happy gaming!
