This was a tough interpretation for a number of reasons. The song is fast. The lyrics are somewhat abstract. There are many mythological and biblical references (The Odyssey, the Fall of Adam and Eve, Exodus, etc.). I appreciated the challenge!
In the interpretation I role-shift between the male and female characters. I portray the woman as somewhat in denial about the relationship's demise, confused and frightened by the sudden chaos of their world. The man, wounded by the "arrow," pleads with her to realize they are at fault, and that they must "seize" their fleeting time together before everything falls apart. The woman in turn shares this realization, and they both articulate it in the chorus.
Hope y'all enjoy it! ^_^
Meg Cassidy This was a wonderful choice! Loved it.
