Happy to share this epic experience!

I'm super stoked to share this experience!

Thanks again for the support! This was a fun one to edit. This one is late to Patreon (it should have been posted on the 16th, but I was away on holiday and not logging on for anything other than occasionally checking email) Sorry about that. Note for the new supporters: videos go live on YouTube every second Friday, but I switched to posting here on Patreon the 2nd and 16th of each month to keep the "paid posts" to a maximum of two… That said, the lag is getting to be over a week now, so I may skip one or very rarely post 3 in a month to close that lag gap - so, please set your monthly max caps accordingly so that there are no surprises. Flight Chops Oh, and all the $5+ Patrons should have their flight suit patches with in a couple weeks of joining - if you didn't get one, please let me know - Technically, anything that is not paper, is supposed to be declared by filling out forms to indicate that they are gifts - However I sneak them through as regular mail because the time / energy spent on that process every time I send one is prohibitive. Most get through as standard mail, but I fear that some times US customs snags them.

I am happy to share my struggles getting back into IFR - My big take away: If you start IFR training - stick with it or you'll need to essentially start over as I am having to do after a year off from training. NOTE: Videos go up on YouTube every 2nd Friday, so this one has been live for over a week; however, I'm posting here on Patreon the 2nd and 16th of each month to keep the paid posts to a maximum of two... I may need to skip one or post 3 in a month occasionally, to reduce the YouTube/Patreon post lag which is growing... hmmm.

How much prep work do you and your crew put in before you even get off the ground? Do you plan out your shots or is it free flowing and all the work is in the editing? Flight Chops Thanks Kurt! The crew and I do a fair bit of prep as far as setting the scenes, rigging cameras (and lighting if needed) and imagining what angles we'll need "on the fly" - so the guys aren't too surprised by the action they need to cover; but then ultimately, whatever happens, happens, and we try to capture it is naturally as we can. And in this case it was a production delay that held up our departure and pushed us into dark for flight 2, so yeah, it's far from seamless :)

Thanks for helping make a solid production!

My team and I worked really hard to make this epic two part series, and the support has been greatly appreciated! As per usual, I need to remind everyone that there is a lag between YouTube and Patreon simply because the videos go live on YouTube every second Friday, but here on Patreon I'm keeping the "paid posts" to a monthly maximum of two, and have decided to post on the 2nd and 16th of each month to keep it simple.

Flight Chops Haha - sort of... I mean in terms of pure fun the Extra 300 doesn't compromise... but the joke Jared made with me was the the plane is so purpose built for acro that it has no other useful function - Like its a PIA to even ferry it around because it has such small fuel tanks, and minimal space for baggage - it's really made for flying air shows and that's about it.

I want to take a second to thank everyone that's joined this crazy Patreon campaign! Your support has been huge, allowing the Flight Chops project to grow! The success of the campaign has made it easy to pitch to sponsors, and I am so proud to announce we have the first big one on board! The latest video is the first of many with additional support coming from ForeFlight! A couple dozen patches ready to go for the latest $5+ supporters! This get's me caught up (for now :) NOTE: I ran out of flat colour cards, and could only find funky polka dot ones to use this time, so enjoy that :) Anyway, by this time next week, y'all should have your patches. As for other "rewards" please let me know if anyone has any questions; I've been doing lots of google / skype hang outs with those that request them, there are random posts below with exclusive content links and attached files (not the best system, but not sure how else to distribute those). Here's Part 1 of a 2 part series (I'm not making part 2 a "paid post" as I uploaded them back to back). We're slightly more bumbling idiotish (is that a word?) than usual on these flights; however, I figured it was worth sharing, to show the effort we're putting in as weekend warriors. Mehran accidentally makes a practice emergency 180 rather moot by doing a full 360, and I turn "slow flight" into a "power off stall" having a little too much fun seeing how slow I can get 'er with clean wings.
