Who am I?
Hi. My name is Daniel Goerz. I am a web-developer from Berlin, Germany and most of the time I am working with the open source CMS TYPO3. I like learning things as well as sharing my knowledge and so from time to time I write a blog post and publish it at usetypo3.com.

Who is usetypo3.com for?
usetypo3.com is a Blog for everyone working with TYPO3 CMS. It may target developers more than others but I think (and got the feedback) that it is helpful for a wide variety of people. If you work with TYPO3 on a daily basis and use this powerful CMS in a professional environment you are most likely to find at least one helpful information on my blog. And that is what the blog is for. It is a part of the TYPO3 community and as such it is dedicated to the claim "Inspiring people to share".

Why do I need support?
I do not need financial support in a sense that I cannot continue blogging without it. The blog posts will keep coming whether I find some Patreons or not. However, the server and domain(s) are costing money each month (resp. year) and of course writing takes time. And that is what I would use any donated money for. Paying for the infrastructure and compensating a little bit for the time effort. Maybe it could even lead to more frequent posts in the future. Who knows?

Disclaimer: Because I do not have a "publishing schedule", there could be months without a post and then there can be two posts published close to each other. That being said, I try to keep existing articles up to date and add new sources if they fit and edit the posts as things change.

What is in it for you?
On patreon most of the time some kind of "reward" is granted for any supporter level. I'll descided to go with the oportunity to be mentioned on the blog as a supporter. Alongside your name you can give me an URL and I'll put it there, too. This mention is completely optional (as is the link). If you subscribe to the non-mention tier, your name will not show up there. But you are still a hero!

Thank You
So, whoever decides to support usetypo3.com: Thank you very much. I hope the blog posts are of some help to you. Please contact me if you find any mistakes or if you have a suggestion for a topic.
