Increased Support
$500 per month
At this level I will be able to take a significant chunk of time away from contract work and dedicate it to my projects. Thank you!
I will also be able to promise y'all regular deluxe blog updates on everything I'm working on.
Cost of Living
$1,000 per month
Once I'm receiving this much, I'll be able to completely cover the cost of keeping a roof over my head and eating. Because I won't be dependent on outside sources of income to cover the basics, I'll be able to devote all of my work time to my own projects! This means more games and more art for everyone.
Extra Features: Development Logs, Featurettes and Technical Details
$1,750 per month
At this funding level I will regularly release extra features where I go into detail about the projects I am working on. Many people have requested that I write articles about features such as the such as the cellular automata in White Lake. I will also be able to spend more time writing articles such as the Neon Arrow piece I did earlier this year.

Who are you?
I'm  Loren Schmidt. You may know me from IGF design finalist Star Guard, my current project White Lake, or one of the many projects I've released this year, such as inflorescence.city, Murder Simulator, the cult hit Realistic Kissing Simulator, or my latest game, STRAWBERRY CUBES. I make games and digital art. I believe that this is the most powerful, open-ended medium ever, and I love using it to make rich, beautiful, meaningful projects that tell a personal story. I am devoted to endless experimentation, asking hard questions, and pushing to expand people's perceptions of what is possible.

What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on an ambitious game called White Lake. It's a story about an astronaut who crash lands on another world, a place which is simultaneously home and not home. It's going to be an extremely beautiful, personal, special project and I'm very excited. Here's more info about it:

I am also excitedly working on a second set of pieces for inflorescence.city, doing endless visual art and generative text experiments, and working on a game for this year's No Quarter (you'll hear more about that soon!)

Great, what can I do to help?
I am extremely capable and motivated, but I am currently struggling financially. I need your support. By becoming a patron, you will help me become financially stable, and directly enable me to spend more time making games and art. That means more games like White Lake, more visual art, more articles.
