The Vegan Information Project (VIP) is a Dublin-based all-volunteer grassroots vegan education outreach group. We organise 8-hour "Vegan Information Days" events in Temple Bar Square in the heart of the Irish capital every Thursday, 10am-6pm, and with Vegan Education on the Go (VEGO), we are involved in 13-hours of direct-to-the-public vegan education. The VIP also organise meetings, film shows, and lectures about vegan animal rights.
Goals
$19 of $175 per month
We have estimated that our basic running costs amount to around 2000 euro per YEAR. This pays for our vehicle costs (the VIP events often involve two 3x3 gazebos, a "tea station" cafe area, video projection, literature, roll-up banners, badges, shirts, etc so we have a van who we call Neville!) and public liability insurance to the value of 6.5 million euro. The idea of this appeal is to get the basic annual costs out of the way in order to concentrate on developing our outreach materials. Also, along with VEGO (Vegan Education on the Go), we aspire to help build these vegan events throughout Ireland, especially in the other major Irish cities apart from Dublin.
