Hello.
I'm a collage artist, graphic designer, freelance writer, further and higher education tutor and part-time fruit & vegetable picker, looking to explore the therapeutic aspects of alternative modes of education, through art, social interaction and play.
My Patreon page is to allow me to continue creating artworks and researching into alternative fields of education, and to have these theories applied in a broader sense through various social art projects.
One such project is called Tiny Library (www.tinylibrary.eu); a travelling library of mini zines, books, prints and originals, that are housed in portable, audio cassette carry cases.
This project has provided pop-up sensory exhibitions, workshops and art materials for people of all ages and abilities, giving people the time and space to articulate their creative knowledge through sensory experience, book-making, collaging, creative writing or simply a conversation.
The aim of Tiny Library was never to promote individual artists, but to highlight the importance of art as a tool for social interaction. Something I felt was being ignored in further and higher education classrooms (in the UK at least).
From the north to the south of England, to France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal, in festivals, eco-villages, art bars and gallery spaces, the responses to all the works have been amazing, they have helped establish many new relationships (both personal and professional), and I hope this project has so far brought some level of success to the contributors that have kindly donated their work.
Looking to the future, I would love to focus more of my time on this project, developing new artistic avenues for collaborations between artists and musicians, so we can continue to support local communities and educate younger generations through the social function of creativity.
In return for being a patron, you will get access to exclusive downloadable and physical artworks and products, as well as news relating to all my future projects and info on how to participate!
Thanks for reading :)
