About Very That

Hola! My name is Cristina Martinez of Very That. Soy del South Side de San Antonio, Tx, & I'm a proud daughter of immigrant parents. Arriba Coahuila! Growing up, I had (and very much still have!) an obsession with all things stickers, pens, stationery, and school supplies. It was the absolute best part of a new school year. As I got older, I noticed that there wasn't really anything made for US. For the necias, for those of us who spoke Spanish first, or who speak Pocha Spanish, or who's names are not easily found on keychains at amusement parks. There was so much for them, but never us. As I created Very That, I found that dichos really resonate with folks. Our words, our mothers and grandmother's words, put on every day things like stickers and mugs! Nearly 9 years into my small business and this is more important than ever before. 
I have thought about creating a Patreon for years and have supported lots of other creatives through this platform. It's a new year, and if 2020 taught us anything it's that we can get through the worst things together. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this.
