Hello, and a Warm Welcome from the Vocal Philosopher.

My name is Declan, and I would like to share a different take on philosophy and the world with you.
I produce an eclectic mix of media, chiefly audio and video essays on my Youtube channel that examine topics from the abstract to current affairs, society, and culture. I'm also working on a series of short fiction stories, as well as sporadic dabbling in poetry, photography, and visual art.

All of my work may be found on my main hub site here:
The Vocal Philosopher

The Reason for Patreon.
Ever since I first studied philosophy, I've wanted to find an avenue to be able to share my thoughts and ideas with as wide an audience as possible without any undue restrictions. I fundamentally believe that the free exchange of ideas is the only way that progress can be achieved, and that today's restricted and sensationalized approach to information is doing far more harm than help.

As such, all of my work will remain freely available to view for everyone.

However, by not placing ads or otherwise monetizing my video work, nor currently having any 'sellable' collections of my written work or other merchandise, this leaves me restricted in terms of how much time I can invest in my work. Patreon offers you, as a viewer, the chance to help alleviate some of my financial concerns, that will allow me to devote more time to developing and growing my work.

What to expect now, and in the future

I'm currently engaged in full time post secondary studies, so my primary concern is being able to deliver content consistently by eliminating as many cost of living concerns as possible.
Short term I hope this will mean that I will be able to offer a regular series of Meditations videos, as well as the longer and more produced The Philosopher Vocalizes series.

In future, I hope to expand my offerings to include a semi-regular interview show Symposium, dedicated to live interviews and discussions of various issues and ideas, as well as developing and producing physical collections of my work.

Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting my work, and until next

Think Clearly.

Think Strangely.

Think Often.
Tiers
First Step on the Road.
$1 or more per month

A big thank you for even the smallest contribution.

Unfortunately with my schedule I won't be able to offer much beyond early video viewing, but as things build up I will hopefully be able to offer more tiers in future.

Goals
$0 of $500 per month
At this point, all my monthly expenses for utilities and food will be taken care of. This will be a huge load off my back, and allow me to focus more on writing and producing.
