Voices of Labor (https://voicesoflabor.com) is a day-to-day history of the labor movement in America. It's a history of how the Working Class has fought to become what many refer to as the Middle Class.

I’ve worked on Voices of Labor for over 5 years now, doing research, buying books to learn more about labor history, reading articles and visiting libraries. I also support the Voices of Labor website, which includes developing content, paying hosting fees for the website, and purchasing plugins and other software. It’s not cheap. Over the years I’ve received a few donations, but they have only added up to $30 or so, while I've spent thousands out of pocket. The labor movement is funny. In the time I’ve been working on this site I’ve been unemployed twice and have worked for three different unions (East coast and West coast). I’ve decided to open a Patreon page to help ensure Voices of Labor stays current and available for years to come.

All money donated to the Voices of Labor Patreon page goes back into the website. It will pay for plugins to improve the speed of the site, add features, and make the website easier to navigate (I’ve spent about $250 on them just in the first 2 months of this year). My website hosting is due ($500 for 3 years). I also would like to provide Union-made shirts, and have found a printer, but need cash to make this happen. Profits from the shirts go back into Voices of Labor.

I want to thank those who have donated and will donate to help keep Voice of Labor going. I have some big ideas for improving and promoting Voices of Labor so that more Union (and non-union) folks can learn this important history. Thank you for helping, and for getting the word out to our Union brothers and sisters.

The tier benefits will be changing as I line up some Union-made Stickers and other swag. So if you join today, you will get the new benefits as they come in.
