Fourteen years ago, we created Vintage Vinyl News (now VVN Music) as a website dedicated to the veteran artists who have been recording for 20 years or more.  Over time, the site evolved into a source of news, reviews and interviews on and with artists ranging from Lloyd Price and Bobby Rydell to Jon Anderson of Yes and Peter Cetera to Melissa Manchester and Paula Cole.

Since the beginning of 2019, we have rededicated the site to being a provider of information, both current and historical, on a variety of genres including pop, rock, soul, country, folk and blues.

To that end, we have started a major project reviewing every chart of the modern music era and ranking the records based on their weekly chart positions.  While we have started with the general singles charts from 1955 forward, our intention is to take our methodology and, in the future, also apply it to the Album, Country, R&B, Easy Listening and British Singles charts.

The results of these studies are being published on VVN Music along with other information including major awards, hall of fames, honors and other information from the music world.

These studies are time and labor intensive and, unfortunately, the small income from advertising on the site, even with almost one million views per year, is not that high.  That's why we are asking for your support.

Patrons of VVN Music will receive increased content, well beyond our regular website.  When we publish the top 100 for a year, patrons will receive the top 200.  We will even be updating the years already published (1956 through 1963) with the longer lists for our supporters.

Other discussions and special articles on music history will also be presented to our patrons either exclusively or in advance of its release to the general public.

In addition, patrons will have access to weekly updated charts of the biggest music of the current year.  While our website shows the top twenty singles and British tracks of 2019 to date (with albums, R&B songs, country songs and Albums coming in the near future), patrons will have access to the top forty of each week.

Please Note: Your pledge will charge on the date that you became a patron and on the 1st of each month thereafter, per Patreon policy.  If you join after the 20th of a month, we will refund your pledge on the 1st of the next month.
