I’ve always wanted to be a writer. A novelist, to be precise. My third grade teacher predicted that I’d end up as one all those years ago. I have just a few problems with the whole endeavor.

1. I have no interest in seeking out literary agents, editors, publishers, or the like. I don’t want to run a business. I’m not in this to get rich. I just want to write my stories and deliver them to an audience with as little formality and fanfare as is necessary.

2. Writing is a tedious, difficult thing, that requires vast amounts of time. In today’s world, time equals money, so, despite my aversion to it, I do need to make some money from all this time spent. Registering copyrights costs money. Hosting a website costs money. Doing research (sometimes) costs money. That brings me here, and hopefully you can help.

3. Lastly, I’m the type of person that would spend years perfecting something before releasing it. I need some loose accountability from people like you. The more of you that are awaiting something from me, the more likely I am to adhere to deadlines. That sort of pressure is the ideal way to get me motivated to start and finish a project, then start on so,etching new, rather than fussing with one thing forever.

Here, on this platform, I feel like all of these problems can be solved. I can have enough money to pay my bills and keep my work flowing regularly, while also being pressured into a semi-regular release schedule by a core audience that genuinely wants to see what I come up with next. I want you to be in that audience.

Before you sign up though, I want to be perfectly clear. The things I plan on writing are Literary Fiction. They’ll be smart and cerebral, replete with high-falutin’ metaphors and symbolism. There will be serious issues tackled, complex philosophy espoused, and dark, unsettling subject matter. I am not a genre writer, though at times I may dabble in historical fiction, science fiction, and various other genres, but always with a universal message underneath the genre trappings. From one book to the next, the tone, point of view, and other aspects of my writing are liable to change. It’s a grab bag. You will not be getting the same novel over and over with the same plot and the same story beats.

Sound like your thing? If so, great. Thank you for your interest and support. I hope to get to know you on some level through our interactions on here. If not, thanks for reading this far. I do hope you find something better suited to your tastes. Good luck.

With that, I believe it is time to begin...

I’ll be posting titles, loglines, and stray ideas I have for stories on here for all to see.

Once you become a patron (any tier) you’ll gain access to sample chapters, more detailed descriptions, and more.
