Dr. Wallace J Nichols is creating common knowledge*.
85

patrons

It's simple: you make a small monthly investment and together we get a lot of unique, important, good work done.

I have lived a privileged, full life of creative, experimental learning and mentoring. My work is defined by service to the health of our water planet and the people who call it home.

For the past three decades patrons have fueled a steady pursuit of important, unique, and successful ideas and projects that were generally considered unpopular, not fundable, or ahead-of-the-curve** when launched but in time have created new common knowledge*.

These include efforts to better understand the science and practice of teamship (True Groove, since 2018), connect neuropsychology and the benefits of healthy water (Blue Mind Works, since 2009), link travelers to wildlife conservation (SEE Turtles & SEE the WILD, since 2008), mentor young indigenous leaders (Ocean Revolution, since 2005), promote the organic farms and artisans along a 50-mile stretch of California coast (Slow Coast, since 2003), address and end plastic pollution (since 1996), and collaborate with artisanal fishers and hunters to rescue endangered species (Grupo Tortuguero, since 1995).

Each of these projects and movements uses the same three-part formula (The Change Mosaic) that artfully combines deep and wide relationship-building (networks), science and synthesis of understanding (knowledge), and experimental, strategic dissemination and sharing (communication).

Thank you to all patrons, ambassadors, and partners. Collaboration with truly great team members is at the core of everything I've been involved in that could be described as successful.

For 2019 I have reorganized and simplified our Patreon Campaign and now have one 12welve tier ($12/mo), the average level of all previous patrons and number of great significance throughout these projects. Although please edit your monthly investment to any amount.

I invite you to begin (or continue) your involvement in this important, independent, and unique strategy here or if you prefer, donate via the tax-deductible Blue Mind Fund.

Watch for more books, summits, and films in 2019, as well as some new and exciting projects that you are helping create and share.

** On seven different occasions I was told I was committing "career suicide" while initiating new projects, including all of those mentioned. The system doesn't always support innovation, but my patrons always have.
Tiers
12welve
$12 or more per month
12welve is an important number in my work, but feel free to contribute any amount.

As a patron you'll support my creative projects and receive regular updates and special exclusive opportunities related to the projects, books and films you are helping create. There will also be some surprises along the way I know you will enjoy.

Once we surpass our ambitious goal of 1,000 patrons you'll be entered into a drawing to join me on an epic Blue Mind Expedition to Baja. Each dollar you contribute represents a chance to win that trip.

Goals
85 of 100 patrons
Reaching each goal has been a challenge. We reached the first goal of 50 patrons quickly

Now our goal is to reach 100 patrons which means some new surprises, puts us closer to our ultimate goal of 1,200 patrons and helps us get our work done.
