We're building a community of electronic music enthusiasts on Patreon.... Become a member!
Waveshaper TV is a YouTube channel dedicated to high-quality interview and feature videos with a diverse array of electronic music producers, inventors, manufacturers, and visionaries. We're the same team behind the hugely successful modular synth documentary I Dream Of Wires — seen widely on Netflix — as well as the forthcoming electronic music docs Electronic Voyager (about Bob Moog) and Subotnick (about Morton Subotnick).
We're passionate about electronic music, and have made it our mission to document its story, from its iconic figures, to its lesser-known, yet compelling outsiders.
Waveshaper TV will focus on the craft and artistry of electronic music production, musicianship, and instrument building. We aim to explore electronic music in the broadest sense of the word: from ‘60s pioneers and ‘70s prog rockers, through to ‘80s synthpop, and the explosion of electronic music in all shapes and forms from the ‘90s until today. What unites all of these subjects is a passion — obsession even — for the sound of music made with machines.
Your Patreon support will allow us the means to film, edit and share more new video interviews and features. To start, we have committed to sharing at least two new interview/feature videos per month. With the help of enough Patreon supporters like you, we can continue our mission to document electronic music history on film — past, present, and future.
With I Dream Of Wires' wide scope and far reach, many people assume that we're a big production company with budgets to match, but this couldn't be any further from the truth! In fact, Waveshaper Media is a labour of love by Robert Fantinatto (director/cinematographer/editor) and Jason Amm (producer/researcher). Unfortunately, this labour of love does not keep the Waveshaper Media ship afloat, which is why we have turned to Patreon.
Patreon offers us a way to grow and share our video content with you. There's nothing like Waveshaper TV out there and we know there's a dedicated and passionate audience for our work. With the support of Patreon members like you, we'll have the financial base to dedicate more of our time to creating top-notch content.
For just $1 (or more if you choose) per month — charged by Patreon to your credit card or Paypal — you're supporting our work and our mission. Your Patreon contributions will go directly to making Waveshaper TV videos — covering our production costs, and helping us expand our team so that we can continue to grow — creating and sharing more high-quality content.
In return, you get Patreon-exclusive access to EXTENDED EDITS of every Waveshaper TV episode - past, present and future - plus behind-the-scenes blog-posts, polls that help us determine the content we produce, and more!
Thank you for reading, for your interest, and we hope you'll consider becoming a member of Waveshaper TV on Patreon — we look forward to sharing our videos with you!
